That thingy just ticks my OCD!!
Why would anyone make both boons and a body, either you have the one or the other!
Besides it resembles too much of the same design as the IG bombers with those WW2'ish wings!
/rant!!!

Yeah... after the lovely designs that Forgeworld came up.with for the original.fliers, the main GW ones are ugly.weird.and rather mismatched in design.

And an idiotic turret that can only fire downward and to the back, so in a dogfight (you know, the reason for an air superiority fighter to exist) it can't get all of its guns on a target at once and has to fly some awkward running away maneuver to shoot out of its butt. IMO just toss the plastic kits in the trash, the Barracuda and Tigershark do the job just fine.

the best explination for the turret I can think of is pure anti ground attack... that or the Tau who designed her was a complete idiot who comcluded "OUR PILOTS WILL ALWAYS ATTACK FROM ABOVE!"
