How do?
Dunno about anyone else, but I’ve been a busy bunny getting my shiny new terrain built. And I have to say, it’s really quite lovely!
However, in places the instructions could be a bit better, as if followed to the letter, I can see frustrated builders getting into a strop.
My first tip? Go through the entire instructions for what you’re building, and take the time to clip and prep all the bits you’ll be needing.
Next up, give the instructions a full read through, so you can see how all the bits and bobs interact. The reason for this is ably demonstrated by Step 43 g-k for the stuff in the Kill Team set. In places, it calls for corner floor fragments, before the light fitting that sits underneath and holds them together. That’s a recipe for a right old grump in my house.
Third and final for now? Use the relevant floor sections to properly square off your walls. This will save a lot of arseache later on, as it gets everything lined up nicely from the get go,
Other than that, just the usual ‘take your time and dry fit first’ which is give for any kit.
Feel free to chip in with your own take.

I found out that you can make individual ruined pillars by gluing together two similar height pillar halves from Ruins set.

That place is the harsh dark future far left with only war left. |

I love how much thought goes into the design.

I'm not sure I understand you correctly. Are you saying I can put two broken columns together to make a whole one? If so I can't wait to get home from work today and try it. I ran out of columns in my starter box terrain. I may be building to large a structure lol.

I also noticed today that the length of the floor sections is exactly the same as the height of the wall panels. So you can use them as a wall if you want (dunno why you’d do that, bunker maybe? Still, nice to have the option.)

No, I meant the pillar parts that you normally glue to assemble ruined wall sections. Two of these can make one ruined pillar.
