No because they've been neglecting the faction for nigh on twenty sodding years and folk were worried that now they finally are paying them some attention they'd be substantially altered. But yeah, sure - when you take the piss out of people, they tend not to like it, and if you then want those people to give you lots and lots of money you generally would have to show at least a few wee shreds of contrition, that's not unique to Sisters players.

To be fair to them, they did seem to be blindsided by how damn many people wanted sisters to get more attention. Which means they weren't fething listening, but still, all of the examples we've seen have been good, no need to be this hacked off about a technically true joke. They did have plastic sisters, three of them total, which was plenty disappointing and not available in their own box for what, half a year? But they weren't lying and you set your own expectations on that one.

well remember under Kirby they bragged about "not needing to do market research" I think the most amazing thing about that whole fiasco was that the baord didn't fire him the minute he said that I know if I was on the board of a company and the CEO claimed he didn't need to do market research I'd be demanding a vote on canning him asap

Also don't forget that most people wanted sisters but spoke of it in clubs, to store managers and to people on forums - it was a whole different ballgame when they all got up and said "SISTERS PLEASE" all in one big go in the survey.

Ergo GW then got an idea of how big the interest really was. Also yeah the Kirby "no market research" era likely did blight the potential for sisters to get any attention.

A massive deal. My 7yr old 'niece' (friend's little girl) has pretty much no interest in any toy that I know where this isn't the primary method of purchase or at least an optional line within the brand. I've seen enough male or gender neutral franchises on offer alongside the ones I've picked up for her over the years to surmise that it's clearly a significant chunk of the toy market these days.

Dear god I hope so. The ‘non-beastieness’ of it, and the fire make me very hopeful. But I could easily see it being a beast man thing too, as the face looks identical to the Ghorgon one. I figured if they did Chaos dwarfs again, they’d lean hard into the ‘demonic engines’ aspect of them, as it would contrast them to the Blimpie dwarfs more,, and cause the Fireslayers sort of stole their ‘burn everything’ aethstetic. But, I hope we see them in AoS, as they’re truly my favorite fantasy army.

Pogs, Sticks, Pokemon Cards, Magic the Gathering- we grew up on blind buys too. It's just that the market has moved on it seems to larger toys not just collectable trinket toys.

I don't want all of them, I want some specific ones. And yes, I could buy a box and fanny about trying to sell off the ones I don't want, but that's more effort than I care to expend for models that rate "hmm, those'd be kinda cool", so that's just a wee chunk of money that goes to FFG instead of GW. Also, it's not a guarantee of a complete set. Some folk have gotten as many as four duplicates of one model, or several different duplicate pairs or triples. Probably packing errors rather than policy given how many folk bought a box and got exactly 12x2, but it's a non-zero chance and as we've established, I'm not interested in gambling for models.

Are they really bringing back Chaos dwarves??? There was a spell for them that was described exactly as a big flaming bull. Would buy the frag out of them, if they look good

Street - what is wrong with coloured plastic? It's the very same plastic just with a bit of pigment in it; a quick spray or two with some white or black undercoat (or one of the other undercoat colours) and its just the same as grey.

I take it you will not be buying the flaming bull either since I am sure it will be coloured plastic as well.

you need to put a lot more primer on a red or blue coloured plastic than on a grey one. And I don't like to put a lot of primer on my minis, as i find it affects the quality of my painting

Well Sisters are still in development; so you got bolter porn because that's likely where their development is at this stage. As GW is using 3D design software they are likely building bits of Sisters - eg weapons - which will then later be combined together to create full Sisters of Battle. So there likely aren't any full model previews to see (or those that there are are likely very light on detailing at this stage or even their final poses)

A good primer won't affect the detail on plastic miniatures. Like anything, you get what you pay for. Cheap primer does a cheap job. GW primer is a little expensive in comparison to stuff like Army Painter, but I have always found the end result is worth the extra cost, especially on the colored primer.

GW primer can affect the details. Depends on weather conditions usually, thought I've fethed up dealing with almost empty cans and sudden spurts of primer too.

Well they kinda hinted that we won't see any delaque models. But there is still hope for some artwork. Hopefully they have 1 or 2 things to show today, and they didn't blow their entire load on the first day.
