Remember the barricades from about seven years ago? I bought some Army Painter Razor-Wire, 'cause it's pretty obvious that I'm not going to make some myself, and cracked on.

I also bought some push-fit Cadians to cower (shelter - V) behind them. WIP, natch.

Yeah, I was hoping for a bit more elevation. As it stands, the front three are little more than curbstones and if an opponent tried to claim that as a cover save I'd be unhappy.

I think the back two work as cover, at least.

I may add some spikes to them. Up the barbarity a bit. Maybe I could get the GS out and make some fires, go all 'Battle of Winterfell' on it.

Ahem. Anyway. Mountains are definitely not happening. A river of pink slime might, 'cause I've already ripped off Ghostbusters with Vigo so I may as well lean into it. Ruins will definitely happen. A single Command bunker, trenches, minefields and booby traps are all distinct possibilities.

Given the colour and suspicious luminescence of the chest, I wouldn't be so sure.

I should work some Pripyat/Chernobyl reference(s) in, though. I recently acquired a little over 12gb of BBC documentaries on the subject.

I do have Those That Must Not Be Mentioned planned for the CSM part of this 'soup'. They'll accompany my Maulerfiends for the ripping and tearing that's in it.

It wouldn't be a terrible stretch to Super Mutant/Nightkin them up a bit.

The mutants would probably be better off as ogryn brutes.

Ogryns painted green/blue and armed with nailboards was my first thought for Spawn, but maybe you're right. I could sneak in a cheeky 500pt Detachment of Brutes and Chimeras and it would give me an excuse to build another Enforcer.

I'm actually really, really liking the Moe idea, 'cause it also ties neatly ties in visually with what I think are the best Spawn minis I've ever seen

Obviously nothing will be as tall as those towers, but that pile of rubble and ruined buildings in the centre-midground? Yeah, that's the spot.

EDIT - You might recall how I rhapsodized fairly early on in the thread about how budget was an important consideration in all of this for me and how it made me all moist that I could use the Cadians to represent a R&H, Astra Militarum or (about 75% of) a Genestealer Cult army. With the whole Hedonites of Slaanesh thing going on in Age of Sigmar I've had a look at that too and have been made aware that as well as a 2,250pt 40K Slaanesh Daemon army, I also have a (fairly decent) 2,800pt Slaanesh Daemon AoS army. So that's pretty cool. Never played AoS but will probably check it out. Played one game of WFB, ever. Got my Bretonnian face smashed in by a Dwarf. I've also branched into Kill-Team, where I can use the Cadians as their own Astra Militarum team, half of a Word Bearers team or half of a Genestealer Cult team. Just need a box of CSM and a box of Genestealers.

So my advice is that if budget is important, you should buy Daemons and Cadians/Catachans.

two little claws or a little claw/Lash/Icon/Instrument is a Daemonette
one little claw and a big claw is an Alluress or an Exalted Alluress
two big claws and the 'Heartseeker' head is a Herald.

Yeah, it's a 24"x24" stepped-pyramid, goes up 1" each 'step', which is 2" wide. So, 24x24, 20x20, 16x16, 12x12, 8x8 and her on top.

She'll be 16.5" to from tabletop to the tip of her sword by the time it's done.

EDIT - Actually, it rises .5" with each step and it'll be 15.5" from tabletop to the tip of her sword. I posted this earlier in the thread to 'illustrate' the plan for Mamayev KurBen;



Grey is tabletop, grey-blue/black are the Wulfen/Kommissar statues, green is how tall the Guard are comparatively, pink is a Daemonette and purple is Herself.

Each cell is .5"x.5" and each 'step' is 2", so can take a base up to 50mm.

I reckon it's going to look pretty good having my Renegades charge down the front of that into the fascists, sorry, 'rebels'.
