Take a Daemonette away and that's a 2,250pt Chaos Daemons army. Six Heralds, sixty Daemonettes, three squads of six Seekers, six Chariots... Excluding Heralds, there are 94 models in this army with the <DAEMONETTE> keyword. Eight of them are bald; 23 of them have pink hair and one has white webbing. 62 of them have purple hair. That's 66%...

To be added; nine Fiends, Syll'Esske (who I'll be calling "The Bogatyr"), two more KoS, an Infernal Enrapturess and The Contorted Epitome.

The Motherland Calls! was found for me by fellow Dakkanaut minigiant, on page one or two.

Its from a Californian company called 3DPrintedDebris and I recommend them entirely.

They have a section for statues and monuments and while they have some dubious ones ("Flashing Banana", anyone?) they also have the Venus de Milo, MLK Jr. Christ the Redeemer, the Thinker etc. etc.

Adding some music to listen while browsing the pictures is a good way to enhance the desired feel of the army. Yours worked perfectly.

I'm toying with the idea of celebrating my first ever fully painted and based army by taking them to my FLGS in a few week's time to get pasted in an ITC event.

Doing a spot of spring-cleaning today. What? June is spring in Canada. Found this, abandoned in a drawer that belongs to someone else:



It's a literal violet heart. This is serendipitous for obvious reasons, but also because I want a Contorted Epitome but I think the stock model is kinda goofy, it doesn't fit the aesthetic I've established with my Heralds and I don't want eight Heralds - I want six.

So I started rummaging and knocked out a quick concept.



I'm going to drill into the bottom of the heart and sit it on a Land Speeder flight stand, then drape it in chains. Natch. The 'ring' I'm thinking will get Dremeled out and the heart will sit in it, connecting it to the rest of the frame and the hellflayer blades.

I am intrigued.
Technically you could put it on a palanquin with some Bearers if you don't want the landspeeder base

I like that idea with the heart. i think i even used to have a little glitter bottle that looked a bit like that, I'll have to see if i can dig it out

EDIT - The second Summoning Circle, now called Zorya Vechernyaya, will be along at some point today. I just have to finish the spikes and wait for it to get sunny enough to take a pic.

The only important thing is that you kill all plants, it's summer and i have allergies on any type of grass. GO fething FIGURE....


on the other hand, it allowed me to paint rapidly, since i ain't going outside if i don't have to, mainly because of dehydradtion danger through the nose...

The bottle is, in fact, very heavy. It's made of glass, which is making drilling a hole for the flight stand very tricky.

It'll be put together in a way that 100% of the weight of it is transferred straight down the flight stand into the base, however, so it should be fine. The Chariot bits are entirely too fragile to support it by themselves.

Exam season is upon me once again and I am broke. I only had about $170 spare and couldn't make a coherent addition to either my Daemons or my R&H with that so instead I just went to my FLGS and bought as many points as I could.





They're not going to be built as Possessed, I also made a bitz order so they'll be a Lord, a Dark Apostle and three Sorcerors.

All of which adds 779pts to this 'soup' and takes it to 3,878pts, though 1,050pts of that are currently unbuilt/unpainted.

Alrighty. Some of these have been touched up, as it were, in response to comments (and Gallery votes) and some of them are just better pics of other things you've seen before. Sorry. I absolutely swear - spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch - no more over-exposed photos. I recognize my failing and will work to correct it.

















And remember how I was asking if the new paint mix matched the old one? Yeah, it doesn't.



Oops. Oh well, I noticed after painting ten minis, two of which aren't even part of my R&H force, so it won't be too hard to lose them in the mix of the other 160 or so R&H minis I'll end up with.

New Militia coming along shortly, but they're just push-fit Cadians, so... meh.
