I'm working on a Codex: C'tan homebrew, and I need survey participants to help guide the general direction of it.
I appreciate non-Necron players responding as well, even if you know nothing about Necrons.

Did your survey. Seems pretty clear what direction you want to take necrons in.

Filled out the survey. I prefer the current lore, but would love to see a wider variety and overall usefulness return to ctan models. I’d also like to see more Necron terrain kits.

It's not that I want the newer lore retconned, if that's what you're thinking, as it has many great qualities.
I simply want to present a way of bringing back the nicer qualities of the old lore that doesn't involve any retcons, and brings something to fans of both.
I'm still writing up the homebrew, and I really think it's something everyone will like.

I took your survey and noted why I honestly prefer the post 5th edition lore, and if you wanna do a 'ctan 'dex it's worth mentioning here where more detailed feedback can be provided. the long and short of it is that 'crons lacked any real goals and ideas beyiond "kill them all" which lead to a faction little differant in practice from tyranids. I liked that necron leadership was given personality and that each necron dynasty might have it's own goals and methods of acheiving them. you can capture elements of this well having the old 'cron lore with a c'tan codex though just give each of the C'tans an immediate goa\l other then "KILL ALL THE THINGS"

I'm the opposite. I liked the coldness and absence of feeling and character. Each to their own!

(I also miss suicide bomber scarabs)

Im totally pro Newcrons though i wouldnt mind new ctan models, maybe even some with (a little) character.

But to be honest my BIGGEST wish for a new necron model would be the silent king
