I have a friend who wasn't too thrilled about the official Legion model for Han, so I made him a (hopefully) better one:
Any thoughts on the face? I rarely sculpt dudes. Or hair. Or clothes.

That's about 1000x better than the official Legion model. Kudos. I love the pose.

I think when you shrug your shoulders raise a bit more- autonomy wise.
Love the pose from Jedi.

Thanks for the comments, guys!

Good thought. I looked up the scene from Episode 6 and he switches from leisurely holding the Imperials at gunpoint to shrugging ever so slightly with his left shoulder raised higher than the right one.
I think the model is pretty much there, but the right shoulder could do with a tiny bit of padding out.
Edit: And while I'm at it I'll reexamine the left shoulder, which should logically be a little higher up than the right one. Not sure that's the case yet.

I can't even sculpt a gas mask with green stuff- that is just jaw dropping, ninja level skill right there. Bravo.

Thank you.
I adjusted the shoulders a little, leveling out the top of the vest on his right and adding a millimeter to the top of his left sleeve:
Looks a little better to me than it did. So I'm thinking this is it, job done.

First off this is way better than I could do. Much better. But that's not really saying much. This is a very good sculpt. However, the head looks a little bit like Richard Simmons.

Thanks for the reply. I had to google Richard Simmons. Looking at some pictures it doesn't seem like a terrible association to get.

I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude! I was looking at the model and was thinking, wow great job, then I looked closer and my mind just played out a little scene with Richard Simmons acting like Han Solo.

No worries. I actually mean what I said. I don't subscribe to hyper realism and find sculpting someone's face at a smaller scale much more palatable if it's a little abstracted and the viewer's mind fills in the blanks. Mostly it's to avoid overloading a small area with too much detail, which to me can look comical very easily. Simmons's face is, at a distance, not terribly different from Harrison Ford's, so that's well within good enough territory for me.
