After a heart-to-heart with my BFF Hulksmash about how to ease back into 40k, it makes more sense to start with a small 500 point space marine army that I can scale up in points and learn 40k again; I'm going to hold off building Drukhari until I understand the game and how to play it.

My armies are all gone. :( Ghazghkull's Harem, the Orkish Ice Cream Trukk, the Garden of Silence, even my [in]famous Darklight Storm that I can't find any good pictures off. I'm starting from scratch. Dark Eldar are called Drukhari now, but I wrote the guide on how to make people cry with them, then spent a year and a half flying around the country to burn and raze peoples' armies to the ground. 8th edition has arrived, and Drukhari need a new evil overlord, a new guide, and a new champion willing to travel around the world in the name of torture and slavery while beating in the faces of the wretched souls fielding inferior races.

And for that, I need models. I don't have an army list finalized yet, Chapter Approved will probably change some things. I'm just looking for some great deals, preferably on boxed or on-sprue items, because I will probably end up commission painting my entire army to tournament standards so I don't have to deal with painting judges causing me to win best general instead of best overall at tournaments.

How many points are you looking to acquire? How much money are you willing to spend?

I'm looking to acquire ~2,000 points. I haven't built an army list yet, so I don't quite know what it will look like. I'm waiting on December's Chapter Approved before I commit purchases. I don't have a budget. My "default" plan is to build a list, find somewhere that will sell me the entirety of the list for -20-30% MSRP, provide all of those models to whatever commissioning service I end up choosing for another $2-$3k in cleaning/molding/assembly/painting costs, having a custom battlefoam built for them, having it all done for me, then having it delivered to me, ready to play.

I have a complete Drukhari Raiding force for sale / trade that I'm looking to part ways with. I've come to learning I'm really not the type of player that does well with a fineness army and much more for the type of army that favors attrition based fighting, or straight up gunlines. Here is the fully itemized list of models, their quantity, their MSRP, and then what I'm looking for in sales value at roughly 65% MSRP (Some items are not at 65% due to retention such as codex and cards, which I listed at closer to 75%, but still under the 80% that most people can get at a FLG store.)

Preemptive response on a couple questions. No I'm not interested in splitting / parting out. It's pretty comprehensive and I want it to stay that way. No I do not have any of the bits for things you may see missing.

The total MSRP of this lot comes to $1,239 dollars roughly (It's not down to the coin) and I'm looking for either $800 + $40 shipping within the CONUS, or possibly trading for the following;

For conditions I'm looking for either NoS or Painted box art to above table top standard. I am willing to trade MSRP for MSRP IN YOUR FAVOR given the condition of my models compared to the conditions I'm asking for.

For armies themselves I'm looking for Death Guard (Must contain at least Mortarion Himself, and 3 Plagueburst Crawlers. Non Dark Imperium Plague Marines are a plus) --- Thousand Sons --- Maybe Necrons but I'm slightly less inclined compared to the other two. And if all else fails, hit me up with an offer, worse I can say is no.

Oh, and for pox and giggles, I'm also interested in a gaming laptop. If you've got one, I expect a full layout of specs for it, especially screen size and resolution, processor, video card, and ram. At a $1200 army I'm asking $800 for I'm expecting something I can run current games on at least recommended settings, if not being able to crank them up some.

I would suggest watching Ebay for a few weeks and see what comes up.

It feels like everyone at my FLGS has a Drukhari army now and that's where they are getting them. They're not paying full price. Someone gave me a couple Venoms NOS after he got too many in a deal.

They have an extreme level of detail and a LOT of work has went into this army, a lot of the models are also OOP versions. Or pewter instead of finecast etc

Hello! Thank you for the response! If I can ask for a clarification...are you saying you want to trade MSRP (ish) to get NOS or tabletop+ standard in exchange for already assembled / differently primed / some painted models? Also, I don't know about marines vs. plague marines, but a co-worker offered me this army - but I don't play MEQ. Ever. Is that something that would interest you?

Funnily enough I started playing 40k years ago and ran across your articles. I went to you and Hulk smashes webpage and read all the articles. I thought both of you did a great job and was sad when you stepped away. Hulksmash kept on for a while then you both never posted again on the webpage. SO I am rooting for you to start up again. But Space Marines are just not your cup of tea! Just wait to buy anything, chapter approved comes out and I have no doubt you will catch up quickly.
