I'm forever quoting B5 for the 1% that might actually spot it.
How many Minbari does it take to change a lightbulb?
Vir's pay off with Morden or Lennier and the Ninja
also Marcus/Ivoniva baiting some elder race in by implying another ancient race called them chickens, and comparing them to the French

The whole series was full of stuff like that.
Ivanova reading the riot act to a misbehaving survey crew. Mollari's battle with the infestation of rather large bugs in his quarters, a battle he fights with a sword! Marcus' quip, 'You get more information with a kind word and a two-by-four than with just a kind word'. Ivanova's speech before engaging the hybrid Earthforce/Shadow destroyers. Delenn's speech when she arrives to defend B5 from Earthforce attackers ("If you value your lives... be somewhere else."). All the interplay between Ambassadors Mollari and G'kar. Sinclair and Garibaldi's little breakfast joke on Ivanova. The list goes on and on and on...

The idea that in the far future the most 90's-est motorcycle on the road will be considered an icon of some kind, and be sold as a vintage kit!! Hilarious.
And Daffy Duck as a household god. So much fun.

this is still my favourite sci fi series ever made, Lando, G'Kar, Vir, Franklin etc. all such good characters.... I would love to see another series but they refuse to give srazynski the budget so he wont make it, sad times.

You gotta love Michael Gerobaldi. Dead for 500 years and he still gave a bunch of really bad guys a good solid kick in the ass.

Also, don't be an evil prick around even a good simulation of a guy known to make evil pricks come to bad ends...

Not really. It was tightened about 3-4 episodes. Original s4 ending was the interrogation scene. Civil war was going to end early s5.
Bigger culprit likely was hotel staff losing index cards of jms with whole story planned out. Jms had to recreate from memory in a hurry when s5 came to reality

AduroT wrote:Again, iirc part of the problem with the b5 cgi and why youd have to entirely redo the cgi if you wanted to remaster the series or whatever, is that it wasn’t rendered wide frame. It was made right around the time wide frame was starting to be a thing but to save costs or something they didn’t do it. This leads to them having to either stretch or crop the scenes.
Though there does seem to be a way to upgrade them cheaply to if not hd a" least way better than before in any format. Can't explain(too much technobable for me) but based on jms post there is such way but as wb has zero interest in doing anything with b5 licence...

Crusade was sooo screwed by studio and wasn't even allowed to really begin. Reading 3 of the finished but unfilmed scripts makes one weep at the lost potential. Story hadn't even got close to finishing the kickstart(plague) and move to the real meat.

Crusade really was an exact clone of an anime called "starblazers", first series. It was "space battleship yamato" in japan. If you look up the plot to season 1 starblazers you'll see it was.

I've been calling it "Space Battleship Babylon 5" ever since it first aired.

I see differences. For starters solution is already known in starblazers. For second later enemy is external. Alien races coming to kill. Whole point of crusade was going to be dealing with factions in Earth goverment messing with shadow tech. Legacy of Shadows was going to be the overall plotline once the plague was sorted out which was crusade's equilavent of the Sinclair's hole in the mind that was never going to be big thing of b5 but to be the one that leads to main story.
