I think it is pask in a punisher 20shots hit on a 2 and he can order himself (I know) to reroll 1s
what is the best though as I don't know much about the tau or eldar ones and I have seen a hammerhead give a leman russ a run for its money
also best for the point cost a tank might be bad ass statwise but if it costs too much its bad
I'm dyslexic and thus am bad at spelling and grammar please don't remind me in comments to my posts.
The flesh tearers really like killing so much. In fact they may love it more than inquisitors.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Or as a serious answer, maybe the Carnodon. You can get a volkite version for only 108 points, or 4 lascannons for 140. Pretty cheap for a Guard tank.

That reminds me, the Relic Sicaran Battle Tank is good too. Ignores all negative modifiers vs FLY models (that's ALL modifiers, not just the hard to hit modifier) and gets AP-3 on a wound roll of 6. And you can slap two Lascannons onto it too!

All of the Sicarians have pretty decent guns, although they are quite expensive vehicles. Maybe I am just not used to Space Marine points costs, being a Guard player. I quite like the Venator, that -1 to hit it gives out would be useful against things like Knights.
The tank I want to try the most is the Leman Russ Incinerator, although it was never ported over from Horus Heresy. Volkite weapons intrigue me...

Depends, output the falchion makes the shadow sword look wimpy, but monies worth would be Conqueror Battle Cannon Russ, shooting two times with re-rolls due to the co-axial gets your monies worth and den sum.

Cheaper Tank Commanders sort of knocked it off its top spot. +1bs and orders for only 20 points is a great deal. They are still a good Russ to fill up heavy slots, or spearhead slots, if you want more than 3 russes.

Well TC has plenty of advantages. You get that +1bs on any hull and sponson weapons you happen to take, which is a good boost. You get the reroll 1s order, which is great if you take plasma weapons. Strike and shroud helps keep you alive. And you can take the Hammer of Sunderance, which is an amazing weapon. Plus, the range on the storm bolter is only 24", which limits the re-roll to quite a short range.

Just take the TC to avoid abuse on here. It saves allot of eye rolling and having to deal with it all and explaining yourself to people.

It also has the benefit of being one of the best tank sculpts that Astartes have access to. The model is a little chunky (read: gigantic) for how fragile it is in today's high AP meta, but in general it's a great model and a solid performer. Unfortunately...

ValentineGames doesn't like having it pointed out that regular LRBTs are just weaker tank commanders and the better unit can fill any fluff role that the basic LRBT can. Apparently once you label yourself "casual" nobody is supposed to question your list building choices.
On-topic, the only acceptable answer:

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
I've always loved the Valdor. It looks obsolete and lacks power compared to the Shadowsword but I find it has so much more character. Plus it's saved my arse multiple times in games; used it against a Tesseract Vault once, and while it was only doing 3-4 wounds at a time, the -1 to hit penalty the cannon causes prevented him from getting his Tesla bonus for the whole game!
For my favorite faction, Necrons would have to be a Doomsday Ark. Or Tesseract Ark if we include FW. But best tank overall imo is probably the PBC. Buff that bitch right (Epidemus) and it's S8-9, T9, 12w as well as 5+ fnp. With possible Re-rolling 1s (Epidemus again). And it's main gun doesn't need LoS to shoot. Only downside? Can't fit 3 into 1 unit like Russ's.

Bang for your buck, it'd have to still be the Leman Russ.
Incredible weapon options, double-shooting turret which ignores move penalties, can be juiced with a tank commander, has some very good stratagems available, can take decent regimental traits, is Toughness 8 (more than almost any other "small" size tank), and can take tank orders.
And they got cheaper recently. I think other vehicles might compare with an attribute or two, but not as an entire package.

You only get the re-rolls within the range of the coaxial weapon though, which is a little limiting.
It's still good, but as a generalist I think the Commander with Battlecannon pips it.
