I’ve just watched a vid review of that White Dwarf (I’m not at home with mine) and it wasn’t in there.

Edit: just found it elsewhere and it is indeed the Avatar of Ynnead (apparently it’s in the May 2017 WD).

I couldn't buy GW products like I would wanted to have so needed to stop my purchases. I use to collect the dice even if they were not my faction.

In the video for the introduction of the Genestealer Codes, I noticed the dice for the Genestealer cults at the end, that there is 6 pips. So is GW going back to the "icon" is the one again or have they been doing that already and I just didn't know?

Yes, icon is one has been the thing for awhile now.

They stopped it on the latest ones, and had a skull on the 1 and the icon in a 6.

The GSC stuff looks uniformly excellent and will probably motivate me to finally get cracking with a cult force.

A new Techpriest is a pleasant surprise. Hopefully he's the harbinger of more AM releases. If not the plastic Ambots will probably find there way into lots of martian forces.

The actual Ambull has just blown me away though. Cant wait to get my hands on that bad boy.

Between Deathwatch Overkill, Tooth and Claw, and the KT starter, I’ve got a serious number of GSC models without ever specifically buying a GSC product. I don’t play 40k. How close am I to having a playable GSC army?

Ah man, of course I just recently bought Sicarians and Acolyte H6brids for Kill Team, as well as commanders, and then they have to release the same in a box set with new HQ models and terrain!!!

They’re seperate boxes.

He may mean “they release in the same box as HQ and terrain” respectively of each of the sprues he bought..

General white dwarf news.

Specialist games and forgeworld will have content going forward in the 'non 40k/aos' section. Necromunda battle report coming soon.

AoS will be getting an 'index astartes' style segment adding new sub-faction rules like what we got with crimson fists this month.

The new rules section will alternate between AoS and 40k. So 40k got crimson fists this month, next month sees AoS get a new stormhost.

Regarding 40k, these rules will not be locked to only loyalist chapters but will include chaos and xeno factions; basically anyone with a sub-faction rule will be looked at in time. (Remember there will only be six new sub-faction per game system each year and Loads of armies to cover.)

WD team excited by the suggestion to look at the FW chapters that use to have rules like the badab war chapters.

Also there will no longer be a 'new releases' section at the beginning as the community site has that covered.
