Hey all. I'm trying to pick back up a project I meant to start about a year ago before my life turned to a mess, and I was wondering if someone could help. What canon chapters could I have represented by a model within a Deathwatch army using the various Chapter Badges the kit/ other official GW products provides including Chapters who include the symbology of a provided chapter but with a different colour scheme ala the Imperial Fists/Crimson fists and chapters I could make with a little bit of conversion (a LOT of Ultramarines Successor Chapters seem to incorporate the classic U symbol)

I'd like my models to be as varied, unique and canonical as possible (I have a BUNCH of Space Wolves/Ultramarine pads in my bitz bin, but having a bunch of Wolves in the same squad doesn't feel right...) and I much prefer sculpted pads over free-hand/transfers, so i'm trying to get as much from official GW Shoulder-pads as I can!

I've never really found a list of what I'm asking, and going through all the chapters myself seems way too daunting.

Obviously I'm aware of the Chapters intentionally represented, but there's gotta be some others I could represent with just a bit of alternate painting or minor conversions with a bit of the ol' green stuff.

Any suggestions (especially if they include lesser known/successor chapters) are much appreciated!

Cheers!

A thread on here from when Death Masque came out produced the following list:

82 - ultramarines
86- dark Angels, Angels redeemed
85- space wolves, red wolves, shadow wolves
88- Raven guard, hawk lords, knights of the Raven
84- blood Angels, Angels encarmine
83- Crimson fists, imperial fists, iron fists, sons of dorn
97- black Templars
95- silver skulls (with a bit of work could make death Knights, mortifactors, skull bearers)
87- salamanders
94- minotaurs, brazen minotaurs, Taurans, White minotaurs
91- flesh tearers
89- white scars
90- iron hands
93- nova marines, sons of medusa
98- Knights of gryphonne, howling griffons, griffon lords
96- brazen claws, red talons
92- mentors, raptors, white consuls, black consuls, iron Hawks, liberators, warrior adepts (these are slightly different but look more or less like a hawk head)

I've not checked the accuracy but at a glance it seems pretty comprehensive.

This is accurate. Having used the entire set I can confirm all of the above are possible.

You can also find all sorts of icons and shoulder pads on Shapeways. It’s great for getting samples of obscure chapters.
I also ‘borrow’ other folks’ custom emblems to make up new chapters of my own.

This is exactly what I needed, thank you!
