Hi!

So I've been thinking of doing a Japanese feudal/Edo themed Necromunda gang for a while now, and have been looking about for possible sources for conversion material - I stumbled across GCT's Bushido stuff, and it looks alright - anyone know if the scaling is okay, or will they be too small?
Thanks for your help!

Which models were you thinking of using? I’ve got the Kaze Kage Zoku (Ninja), the Minimoto (bear clan) and some of the Temple of Ro-Kan (monks). If your looking for specific parts it will get expensive for conversion work, you might want to check Warlordgames Test of Honor which are smaller, but most are plastic (I have most of those to compare for you if you need them).

Aren't they much, much smaller? I had a little look a while back. I mostly want to lop off some straw hats, katanas and back banners (maybe a few other details too) for more distinctive members of the gang, not like every character.
If you could show me some comparison photos, I'd be super thankful, though!

The Warlord games plastics are considerably smaller than the GCT metals

But the metal figures are almost the same size. Here is one of the bandits next to Kaito the peasant from GCT

Also note that the bandit pack is £12.95 for three guys (two have much more elaborate straw hats) to £7.95 for one Kaito (which comes with a smaller less defined straw hat plus a second head with a loose straw hat)

My assembling and painting area isn’t a mess right now so I cannot find the pauper soldier heads from the Warlordgames pauper soldiers box £22, but it comes with 10 metal replacement straw hat heads. You could try to reach out to customer service at Warlordgames and see about just getting the pauper soldier heads, I’ve seen them seperate before, just not on their webpage right now. The pauper box would also give you some plastic yari which should work no matter the scale.

Back banners really aren’t great fromWarlord, but you get 5 on each sprue of samurai and one larger banner to be carried or made into an objective marker. (Bottom left of my display shelf)

Or in this picture, but bad scale reference

Also full banner here for comparison

The little crate next to it comes on the ashigaru frame I believe, it’s a drum backpack.

The katana come in the Warlord kits as well with wakizashi or Daisho sets but would be very Tiny compared to GWs grossly oversized weapons.

I have no new Necromunda figs to put next to any of these sorry. The way they released the Necromunda rules has left a bad taste in my mouth, though the looks of the Ambots and a few other pieces has me considering getting back in.
