although whether it's really a case of Netflix not wanting to do more or Disney basically not letting them is as unclear as its been for all the other Marvel based shows

Shame, on the seventh episode now and really enjoying it, but I think we all saw it coming.

We knew that it was coming, but I thought they'd at least wait until JJ3 had aired before cancelling it.

If they were going to wait until after JJ s3 then they would have done the same for DD IF and LC.

They did.

None of those were cancelled until after they had aired their most recent seasons.

I think there's a decent chance that they'll be revived in some fashion for the Disney platform. I can't see the MCU just ending Luke Cage and Iron Fist like that. Both need closure.

I assume they will restart some / all with new but less "adult" storlines and content so they can broadcast on main channel?

Or just put it on Hulu where they can stay violent and join the other Marvel TV shows (Clock & Dagger and The Runaways).

Not often I binge a show, but really enjoyed this one, Ben Barnes, who played Billy, deserves extra credit in my opinion for the awesome performance he gave.

Ending did feel a bit like they had a feeling there might not be a third season to begin with.

Apparently the Netflix/Disney contract says Disney cannot reuse the characters for 2-3 years after their final release on netflix.

So don't expect to see any of the defenders for a few years unless Disney is going to pay Netflix to break contract.
