Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Hey folks!

I bought a 6L commercial-grade Kendal Ultrasonic Cleaner.

Pros: I don't have to soak and scrub models to strip them now.
Cons: I am sitting here wearing industrial grade 3M noise canceling headphones while shivering in despair as the sound of ultrasonic chaos bleats into my soul while attempting to slough off my skin.

The basket for this thing has holes big enough for arms, heads, weapons to fall through - and as the models get literally shivered apart, bits are falling out of the basket. I don't really understand how this mysterious box of archeotech wizardry works, so I don't know if I can put a mesh sieve in the basket without interrupting the ultrasonic vibrations; no idea what I'm doing or what's going on inside here except that Slaanesh is clawing at the back of my eyeballs and screeching disharmony.

ing help.

Just had to deal with this on a smaller scale (I got a 2L). I pushed some screen door mesh (the metal kind) into place to cover most of the basket bottom and sides, overbent it so it would stay bowl shaped and snipped it flush with some normal scissors. ALSO, I wrapped the edges of the basket with rubber bands and kept the box it came in to put over it when it's running.

Come with me if you want to live.
Wait, what?

Also, you could try window screen material - sew it together with dental floss. Make small "baggies" to put stuff in?

Has your screen door mesh done any melting? Is it obstructing the flow of fluid or microbubbles?

I've had excellent results. I just put in some tap water and a few drops of Dawn. I run it for 30 minutes with cool water because all the agitation can heat it up pretty substantially.
P.S. I do replace the water after a few cycles if I'm doing large batches or more quickly if it's small parts. I ran through 90% of the Necromunda resin with mine and have 0 complaints.

Wait, what?

You're stripping paint with soap and water?

That Kendal ultrasonic clear has a gallon of Superclean in it - I've been soaking models in superclean, and using it as the solution as well.

No, just cleaning mold release. But the mesh is a stainless so simple green or purple power would likely work just fine.
