Did they say that? IF so epic failure in that part indeed. What's so exciting for orks for example? As it is this has led me 100% cold. Good for those playing these factions but nothing for me. Which of course is fine. Not every sneak peek has to contain something for everybody. I got for me far more interesting reviews last weekend enough to satisfy me for this year so no biggie. But if they said something to be excited no matter what you collect even if you assume that refers to 40k and AOS players still doesn't cover it. Nevermind if you aren't interested in those 2 games but for others like 30k and AT.

Of course do we know this was all? Maybe there's something saved for later?

I like the new Chaos models but I want fixed rules more.

Rules >>>>> Models for me. gak rules for good models still means they don't see play.

Despite what a few previous posters have said, I absolutely love the Sniper Marines. I'm much more a fan of tactical, practical-looking Marines rather than the over-the-top iconography splattered everywhere, and these look pretty awesome. Yeah the paint scheme may look a bit odd with camo and bright blue, but you could easily paint as a stealth version of the Ultramarines, so a very dark blue, almost blue-grey which would go well with the camo.

The only thing I don't like is that I spent ages and ages kitbashing a Lias Issodon out of various Marine parts, and suddenly they release a perfect stand-in that's better than mine in every way. Oh well...

Other models look great, expect maybe the Obliterators. They're better than the old sculpts but I can see them being pretty expensive, expecting around £50 for a box of 3 most likely.

Great to finally see a plastic Abaddon, shame they can't get round to updating some other characters. Not asking for full updated plastic lines, but a plastic Ghaz, Avatar/Phoenix Lords and Vect would be well received by the community.

Congratulations Primaris Space Marine players, you just got your FIRST NEW TACTICAL SQUAD BOX!

It's a rite of passage for any space marine faction, to get an updated troop squad box before the mold has even cooled on the old one. You enjoy smacking those bad boys down on the tabletop across from 3rd edition era termagants, eldar guardians and imperial guardsmen.

Nice Primaris models, but, not what they really need. Hope they show a cheap transport for them.

What, Primaris didn't need long-ranged anti-infantry support, a boltgun armed power armor squad, and a librarian with a force sword?

But those are the models that the primaris range has been lacking since its inception!

(as a side note, I would find it kind of funny if the Vanguard was how they introduced Primaris with actual special weapons. That might give them a legitimate reason to exist. Also, if the non-primaris black legionnaires are exactly the same size as the primaris as they appear to be, will we reach a world someday where everything Loyalist has 2 wounds and everything Chaos has 1 despite looking identical?)

All you have to do is look at the Stormcast range in AoS to see how the primaris will go. They went from a new faction to easily the largest in 3 years. I suspect the primaris will do the same.

No clue. Within the next month or so, I'd guess. So far things they show tend to come out pretty fast. They might even be released to coincide with Vigilus 2 which is IIRC March 5th.

This is logically it. Abaddon is arriving on Vigilus in ~25 days. Would make perfect sense.

I'll be adding both Primaris units to my Ultramarine's post haste.

Also I'm very interested to see if they new Librarians that apparently have a new spells list will make empiric channeling worthwhile. Right now I don't feel there are enough good spells in the marine list to run 3 Psychers.

I really like those new SM snipers. I'm glad I picked up the IF box just need to finish the Necrons I'm working on and then I can't wait to start those.

The CSM look absolutely amazing. I know all 3 chaos players in my group are excited/pissed..... excited the models look so good.... pissed they will all be buying/painting so many models over again

I knew I should have bought more GW stock back in 2016. If they keep producing models like this they are going to keep dominating the tabletop market

Vanguard space marines sound ljust like reavers. And the art has them with boltrifles and knives, so I’m really wondering what role they could be for.

Models look gorgeous though. That librarian will be perfect for kill team.

I love the new CSM sculpts but can't help but feel these new loyalist models just aren't needed. They already have a glut of model choices, do they really need half a box set more? Marines need help. If these models bring new psychic powers (like the CSM appear to be getting) as well as new abilities it might help them out.

Well, I can't imagine guard are far off with those traitor sculpts out there.

Here's hoping the Primaris Snipers get a 3-man ETB set along with this release. Would certainly pick those up.
Maybe even the new Chaos Marines too. It would be perfect for GW to replace the current 3-man ETB Chaos Marines with these guys.

We'll see, it will have to be a fairly incredible psyker to actually get me to put my Black Legion back on the field.

The new unit is an interesting model, hopefully the unit actually fills a real need in the list. The rest of the new models are interesting, sadly I have the 9 Oblits I will ever field already and more painted CSM than I will ever use.

I'm buying it.

My dad will love the chaos part, I'm sure of it.

I guess I can use the Primaris to start an army that doesn't have 3rd party, it'll mean I have something to play in tournaments at least.

Love the Abaddoon intro! I'll probably be picking him up.

Not too keen on the Obliterator, but I've got nine so I'm not really looking. New CSMs look great. I'm interested to see their scale.

Them sniper marines will be a popular model, methinks.

I'm wondering what the vanguard troop choice will do that'll set them apart from intercessors?

I'm also guessing that the snipers will either be elite or heavy support

They may actually be Intercessors with an optional upgrade. Wouldn't be the first time they added something to that datasheet. Possibly just a special deployment option or something of that ilk.

I'm happy that chaos is getting some love and I'm pumped to expand my sisters army.

However as a space marine player, all of that is meh. Camo cloaks over bright power armor is a dumb concept and while the Librarian looks cool I have no interest in clam pack models that have little to no options. I can't believe after a decade of collecting Space Marines GW has officially turned me off from adding anything to my primary army.

Did they actually show the new model? I mean I might keep Mini-baddon just for giggles, but a new sculpt wouldn't be entirely unwelcome.

Models, not love, love involves rules, if the new units are bad, that's not love, that's just a continuation of our already abusive relationship with GW.

The whole setup with him and the tick appear to be pushing summoning as a factor.

I'm of the opinion that summoning is decent, but having to stand still really keeps it from being great. If these provide an avenue to making it more flexible i'm all in to try it out.

Debuffs will be helpful, too.

This is something that's been bugging me recently with Chaos psychic powers. I'm not really complaining about it because I still feel Chaos has the best psychic buffs in the game and the few debuffs we have are really good (Death Hex in a TS detachment is kind of amazing), but it would be nice to get some new debuffs and not just another of our 3000000000000000000 versions of Smite.
