There's a hero called Union Jack?
I don't know if I should be amazed or mortified, cause that's either fantastic or really stupid XD

Oh no need to wonder, it's really stupid. Really, really stupid.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.
"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal |

I always thought Union Jack was rather cool. Yeah, sure, he's just Cap meets James Bond, but that's not a bad formula for telling some cool stories. I've always perferred him to Captain Britain, mainly as CB is a far more blatant Captain America/Superman successor whereas UJ typically has no or limited powers, just training and the odd gadget or gun.
I've often thought a Union Jack film with some of the stylings of Kingsmen would be rather fun.

I always thought UJ was a cool character, but I also wondered how it played in the UK.
I agree that the grounded nature of the character opens up a lot of possibilities for a cool cinematic take. And hey, if Marvel can create popular, profitable Ant-Man and Doctor Strange movies...who knows?

The Captain Britain stamp should have been from the cell where his evil adversaries are quoting David Cameron for maximum troll points.
