Duncan can easily learn to use an airbrush I'm sure.

For basic methods it would easily cover things like quick camo painting and the like. Plus I'm sure GW has airbrush users within its ranks somewhere to pass the knowledge on.

Daemons have to have one of the most up to date ranges in the game now.
What's left to update?

Epidemius, The Blue Scribes.
I guess the generic Daemon Prince could do with an update.

Is that it?

Khorne herald on jugger

Arguably Bel'akor (but the current model is very good and I'm not sure if any army list can actually take him)

There may be one or two others. I'm not really sure that any of these new things are a generic Slaanesh Herald, for example.

Furies are coming with warcry. So....
Yeah. Updated DP with god specific bits and some new stuff that fleshes out tactical options for each god. This is especially needed since AoS is monogod and the detachment system pushes it in 40k.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

If they really do go with squad-level profiles and movement trays for Apoc3.0, it might actually end up being essentially a new edition of Epic anyway. Hell it would probably play much better with teeny-weeny models.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

You know that Slaaneshi Daemon Prince is starting to grow on me. But one has to wonder how is he going to be effective without wings? I guess maybe he'll just have high movement and hide behind screens of Daemonettes. Hopefully, this means the other gods will get their own Daemon Princes as well.

But enough about Slaanesh for the moment. Talking about the stunties. I'm loving the Kharadron Overlord 's unit. The Arkanaut reloading the Aethermatic Volleygun is amazing, as is the Skywarden perched on the ship's anchor. The alternate Aetherkhemist model is especially appreciated since you always want more than one of those. The other Arkanaut and Grundstok Thunderer are both new to, rather that re-poses. But did anyone see the mining terrain piece in the background of the video? There's a multi-eyed squid beastie! Definitely, buying those minis; I just hope their new battle tome finally does them some justice.

I've always liked the Fyreslayers, but now I need some. That terrain piece and endless spells are just awesome looking.

Zero interest in the new Keeper personally. Very nice mini that fits the current and expanding Slaanesh range well, and I really appreciate that the line is finally getting a direction of its own that isn't just a subdued version of Diaz's work or corrupted versions of existing models. Getting a vibe ala the Persians in 300, definitely enhanced by the columns in that video, and that's a legit path to tread for these decadent baddies. Unfortunately apart from that 300 angle, these Slaanesh daemons just don't really speak to me. Which is fine, there are so many kinky / nekkid Slaanesh alternatives on the market now that I have plenty of choices, all of which cost about the same or less than the official stuff, thanks to boutique pricing on all sides.

Honestly the most enticing part of the reveal was the Dwarf magma monster (I'm a sucker for fire elementals) and the sub-cults of Chaos they'll be exploring in War Cry. And that GW is responding to the various aftermarket 40k movement trays and STL files with their own official ones

Sorry to bring up more Slaanesh stuff... but as a Slaanesh player I am obsessed! (How meta of me, right? ....is that the right word? lol). The Nurgle model doesn't have any wings and GW states there's lore reasons for models being able to fly without them. I expect he will just be really quick. The KOS right now moves as fast as a DP with wings without wings or fly.

The Daemon Prince guy has definitely grown on me as well. His conversion potential.... wow. Take the lady off and he could be a normal DP, just give him some nice Fiend claws for DP talons?

At a guess, I'd bet each god will get their own theme specific Daemon Price now that Slaanesh has one.

Khorne: Herald on a Juggernaut, I suppose they'll also gain the Raptoryxes giving them a flyer as well.
Slaanesh: Still needs a Herald on a Steed and a Herald on a Chariot unless they just re-instate the old models rules.
Nurgle: Epididomus, and endless spells.
Tzeentch: The Blue Scribes, a terrain piece, and endless spells.

While very cool (bar the weirdly posed daemonettes on his ''wings'') the DP look more like an unit champion for mortal followers of Slaanesh than a DP.

I really hope there will be some regular mortal unit, cause if that's not the case, Slaanesh really got the short end of the stick compared to the other gods.

I wonder if it's possible to pose differently the claw arms on the KOS, cause right now, it look a bit stiff (i doubt it is though). I feel like this mini is so so close to being perfect, but a few things about it are bugging me

We need a proper Be’Lakor (although I’m sticking w/my conversion), a Slaanesh Herald on Steed (put one extra steed spruce into the SC box, and boom; instant herald on steed available), Epidemius, Blue Scribes, Khorne Herald on Juggy...and that’s it. Although I have no idea how we don’t have a Nuffle Herald on Plague drone. That baffles me. They should release one.

And I’m sure we’ll see mortal Slaanesh followers. The Hellstriders will have friends.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I guess it will depend on how large he is. If he is on a 32mm base then he definitely will align more with what you're saying. I am hoping he's on a larger base (hard to tell in the pics) and is just a more lithe/vanity based version of a DP. They specifically reference him as a DP.

The Prince is on a 50 or 60mm base. Looks like a 60 to me.

Pretty sure the reason is because GW doesn't sell an airbrush just yet, so they'd have to use a non-GW airbrush in their videos, which is a big no-no.

Although, the "Fifty Shelves of Grey" teaser is probably leading up to them announcing a GW air-brush

Your probably, right about him running fast, lets just hope he has less than 10 wounds. I really like the model if I get more than one I'll mod him up as well. I might sculpt him some Daemonette style reverse legs. I'm definitely replacing the KOS's hooves to make it more inline with the other daemons. I'm also pretty excited about the whole Circus de Freak look to them. Now , I just need a Ringmaster mini for the Great show in the Realms. Also I can finally use my sword swallower since it now fits the theme.

Be’Lakor is one of the best wargaming Miniatures ever created.. and not just from GW. A true classic, that managed not to age a bit. The only other models, that come to mind straight away with those qualities are the Green Knight and Brian Nelson’s Orc Shaman..

I doubt there are additional claw arms, or even humanoid arms in the kit. The front arms are attached to the cape so those have to remain static, other than attaching that shield. While the back arms have that complicate double shoulder arrangement. That will take some serious re-sculpting to modify give the amount of detail and muscle tension. I just hope that its not in as many pieces as the fiends were... Assembling 12 of those was no easy feat.

The green Knight is, IMO, a really nice miniature (what's the story behind it?) but a lot of the detail is painted, I think - all the swirls on the caparison.

Be'Lakor, on the other hand? Well, he's ... OK, I suppose. Nothing special, though. There's a few miniatures I've bought over the years that have nothing to do with any armies I collect, just because I want to paint them. Be'Lakor ain't one of them.
