Well unless they break pattern, it usually follows where the main narrative is.

We never went to Shyish. We never went to Ghyran. We never went to Hysh. Never went to Ulgu. Chamon.

We've been to the Allpoints, Aqshy, and Ghur.

Personally, I'd love to see Ghyran or Ulgu/Hysh and the "In-Between" where Slaanesh is imprisoned.

I wasn't a huge fan of those Sylvaneth models when they were first revealed, but with more time to reflect, I've really come to like them. definitely something I might pick up down the road, although I'm skipping this release, probably

the Bonereapers, tho, are just great. that army's aesthetic is untouched

Ulgu for me so we can finally see some real Malerion weirdos.

This is my vote too. I just want them to flesh out Ulgu in general. Aside from Ulgu and Azyr, I feel like the rest of the realms have a decent amount of story and exposure. I still don't totally get what Ulgu is supposed to even look like.

personally, I'd love a season set in Chamon. it seems like one of the weirdest realms in the setting, and feels woefully unexplored for all that it could really be. i wanna see how the realm would affect each other faction, especially stuff with close ties to nature, like Sylvaneth or Idoneth

Its funny, but they're one of the armies I found the least appealing. I think it was mostly due to some of the goofier heads, like the bone noses. But when I looked at this warband a few weeks ago, I realized the troops all have cyclopean heads and then I became hooked. Crazy how much a difference a headswap can make. It looks like the dual wielders also have head options, so I'm hoping I can accumulate a large quantity of those heads without breaking the bank

oh yeah, there's certainly some goofy stuff in the army. they could use a bit more models, too, since the range feels as sparse as any in AOS. i wish they'd do more with the roman legion vibe of the troops, because that's my favorite part of the army, and the part that is least represented

Have to say, i didn't particularly care for the Sylvaneth band initially. But with the close ups, they've grown on me immensely now.

I do love the Ossiarch background. The ability to change them into a lesser form as punishment is kinda unique, as unlike Chaos mutations/spawndom, there’s at least some chance, however slim, or seeking redemption and proper reformation.

It's also a harsher from of punishment. When something is spawned, it loses all sense of itself. When an ossiarch is remade, it still keeps its personality and the shame of its failure.

True that.

It also makes Nagash one of the more interesting gods. Sure he’s a horrific, narcissistic tyrant, but he has his twisted sense of justice. Bad things happen to bad people on his watch, once they’re in his clutches.

So in case you're missing the sprue images on the Warhammer site, I've got them here with my review, plus all assembly options, and a look the warband tome's contents: https://taleofpainters.com/2024/07/review-warcry-briar-and-bone/

I thought that the "Era of the Beast" has concluded, but now that you say it, we might get a fourth box.

I don't think we'll get a fourth box as we already got as many releases as the last seasons.
We might only have gotten three actual boxsets but the Flameseekers, Monsta Killaz and the Scales of Talaxis terrain is basically the contents of a fourth box just never released as a combined box.
So we already have the same 8x Warbands and 4x terrain releases as the last season

And with no actual announcement, we have downloads for the Ruination Chamber, Brands' Oathbound, Darkoath and points/rules updates:

Oh nice! Add two Fellriders to Brand's Oathbound and you pretty much have a 1000pt list.

Edit: Oh, and thank goodness! While there aren't new cards for the old 1st edition Bladeborn fighters (and thus, new abilities) they at least got a points update. Now I can feel a bit better about using models from Khagra's Ravagers and Godsworn Hunt in my Slaves to Darkness lists!

Looks like they've officially removed the old Warcry warbands from the GW website

No longer just "temporarily out of stock" but completely gone

Yeah though didn't GW say they'd be back for Warcry at some point?

Just not coming back in the "2 sets per box" for Slaves to Darkness.

After that Range Purge announcement, alongside the Bonesplittaz and Sacrosanct, the old Warcry warbands were still sold on the website for awhile. The dual AOS boxes were gone, but the warbands could still be purchased. At least in the UK, since the US ones were almost always "temporarily out of stock." It looks like they're all gone now

Maybe GW will bundle them like they're doing with old Underworlds bands?

Wouldn't surprise me if we're heading into new edition territory with the change of local for main AoS.

I wish they would go back to the big boxes like Heart of Ghur or Sundered Fate with a decent amount of terrain, but asking for that is just wish listing.

Looks like it will be two warbands and a single substandard piece of terrain from here on out.

Looking at Kill Team we can expect the first box of a season to still be a big one but the others afterwards will likely be smaller ones with expansion terrain instead

I hope you are right. I bought Heart of Ghur, Sundered Fate and Bloodhunt after not buying any GW big boxes for a long time and despite not playing any of their games because they were such compelling compelling miniatures and terrain.

I want GW to temp me again!
