Hi guys, this is my first attempt at Craftworld Eldar. I'll be using Altoic for the moment. I don't have a lot built at the moment, but this is something I'm looking to start off with and upgrade as I get more built. Next will be more Wave Serpents and Dark Reapers. For the moment I have whats listed plus 1 War Walker, 10 Guardians w/ Platform, 5 Swooping Hawks w/ Exarch, 3 Heavy Support Batteries, and a Wraithknight.

1,500 pts Battalion Detachment

HQ: 2
1 Farseer (Warlord) 105pts
Singing Spear
Faolchu's Wings

1 Farseer 105pts
Singing Spear

Troops: 3
5 Rangers 60pts

10 Guardians 115pts
Weapons Platform - Missile Launcher

10 Guardians 115pts
Weapons Platform - Missile Launcher

Fast Attack: 1
Crimson Hunter Exarch 175pts

Elites: 2
10 Wraithguard 380pts
Wraithcannons

5 Fire Dragons 120pts

Heavy Support: 2
1 War Walker 60pts
2 Shuriken Cannons

1 War Walker 60pts
2 Shuriken Cannons

Transports: 1
Wave Serpent 151pts
Shuriken Cannon/Scatter Laser

The idea is to use Webway Strike with the Wraithguard. Stuff the Fire Dragons in the Wave Serpent, and joy ride around. Any thoughts would help.

It's okay to get your feet wet for casual play.

What's your play environment? Garage games or tourney?

I'm just doing casual play. I like having fun, but winning is fun too lol. I usually play against Astra Militarum. But trying to get more variety.

Overall, these are all good units in a smorgasbord of a great codex.

The Good:
Guardians are gonna be better for the volume shooting of guardsmen over, say rangers. So, good there.

The Maybe:
Wraithguard: I'd swap for the cannons for d-scythes, unless your main opponent fields a Knight, then you ought to stick with the cannons.

The Change-It-Out:
You don't have a jetbike for your farseer, but when the money becomes available, that is a definite sure purchase. 12" with Faolchu's wings is nice, but 22" onna bike is better.

Thanks for the help! I always strayed away from jetbikes, mostly because of their flight stands, but just having 1 or 2 farseers on bikes might not be that bad.

Flight stands? As in the wide based (bigger than 40mm) 4th edition?

Or the newer 'ball joint' ones? Owning both, I heartily recommend the newer model. I haven't broken a ball-joint in since they replaced the hole-and-peg in ... criminy, how long ago was 5th edition?

The clear plastic ones. I know my Wave Serpent and Vyper have the hole-and-peg set up, maybe the kits I have are just really old lol.
