I'm thinking of killing 7 of my own units (including units of one brimstone summoned the same turn and units like two-wound dark disciples) via the Feculent Gnarlmaw aura effect and the nurgle spell Nurgle's Rot (there's also the DG stratagem of the same name, but at 3cp it's a bit expensive). Could it work?
Can R&H characters summon?

I could have three tzeentch dedicated R&H commanders (75pts) each summoning one brimstone (9pts), and two units of dark disciples (20pts). That's an easy 5 units dead plus maybe the commanders (who hopefully will roll doubles when summoning), for about 100pts (plus 100pts for Epidemius and 85 for the tree, of course). Is it worth it?

I want to play a Possessed deathstar, so I'm aiming at 6 units dead for +1M, +1S, +1T and +1A. Probably Alpha legion (scout move and -2 to hit with prayer). 1+save with the FG plus advance and charge. With Warptime, it's a charge treat of 37'' (on average) turn 1. My main problem is that the buffing characters (exalted champion, DA, MoP) won't be able to move that far.

All seems to check out. Not sure about the characters summoning (away from my FW books)

R&H characters can Summon, yep.

Which includes Enforcers.

Being Chaos means he can field one unified by Nurgle that doesn't need to unlock trait/strategem.

I don't think you can actually summon a single Brimstone.

As in a unit of horrors with only 1 brimstone horror. You need to bring at least 10 models for the unit.

I wouldn't... really say that it's worth it, no.

I think you'd be much better off running Nurgle-marked Daemon Engines (Plagueburst Crawers in particular), Obliterators, and/or Mortarion in order to increase Epidemius's tally.
