March 2020 would also count as "Early 2020". As for the price, you're paying the converted from Yen price + the cost of importing from Japan to America.

I bought one of the Chibi packs today from my local GW store for USD $5.

So I have my first Eversor. I will probably buy a couple more over the next month to see if I can get the Sister of Battle or the Skitarii. If I end up with three Eversor, I will probably take that as a sign to stop buying them.
The photos show the packaging including the cardboard sleeve that keeps you from feeling the package to determine which mini is inside.
Anyone want to see a pic of the Chibi side by side with a 40K model?

Sad, they're out of stock and no longer for sale. I ordered another ten earlier this week and just now I got an email that the could not fulfil the order, so I'll be getting a full refund instead.
Damn it, was hoping to get a Sister Superior.

After reading your note about the chibis being unavailable, I went back to my local GW and bought five more. That makes six for me and I did not get the Sister of Battle yet. I have the other four and a double of the Grey Knight and the Skitarri.
Did they make the sister a rare or are there equal quantities available of all five models?

Blind box stuff here in the UK all has a code so you can work out if it's something you have already. Tricky to tell what something might be (though presumably the internet provides) but you can check that it's not the same as another thing in that box or maybe even one you have.

It's already been established that these are lacking the codes most other blind buys have.

After I pick up one and realized you can’t just feel out the figure inside I decided these where not for me. But now I wonder if there’s a Braille code embossed on the sealed edges.

Mission completed, thanks to a guy at my FLGS who traded me a spare Sister for my spare Skitarri.
He also told me that our local GW store opened a new box of these last weekend so I guess they are not sold out yet.

The local GW store has like four or five boxes. But then I'm in Kobe and stands to reason that Bandai probably has a clause in their contract with GW that will give priority to the local gacha/blind collecting market.

I sent GW an email asking about the figures and got the following answer
‘Thanks for the Email. I am happy to say that they have mostly been produced now, and will be going out soon, but sadly they are delayed by our warehouse closing down. We expect them to keep trickling out from later this month, with a few that went out just before likely arriving with people soon. You should hopefully have yours within May, and we'll do our best to communicate any drastic changes to that.’
So who knows. I think given the circumstances plastic space marines are very far down the list of essential items. So patience is the watchword for us all

I think society has some very liberal and possibly disturbing definitions of what is and isn't considered essential.
Every day there's a line outside the store I work. A fairly large line, all things considered. Sometimes upwards of 40-50 people. And most of that line isn't there for food, toilet paper, or cleaning supplies but for Nintendo Switches, only Nintendo Switches, and interested in buying nothing but the handful of Nintendo Switches that we get in every other day or so. These people rarely wear masks, usually make no attempt at social distancing, see nothing wrong with sprinting the moment they get in the store to be the first to the electronics department, and include but are not limited to uniformed police officers and people openly buying them purely for reselling purposes. Apparently the Nintendo Switch is considered an essential item.
I consider plastic Space Marines essential, but at least I understand that doesn't mesh with reality - and I've got my backlog to keep me sane. Sane- ish.

Flip mate that’s crazy. I hope you are all keeping as safe as you can. People are bonkers. I’m a farmer and am pretty isolated most of the time and given it’s early spring things are crazy busy but we are all kind of isolated on our tractors. Our work is pretty essential. You would think if people wanted a console they could order it online rather than go to a shop and endanger everyone. Difficult time for shop workers indeed. Stay safe!

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but the statement that they "expect them to keep trickling out from later this month" implies GW may look to re-open with reduced staff in the next few weeks perhaps? Maybe initially to ship such pre-orders and print-on-demand copies of certain books that were due soon (and not printed in-house), possibly moving on to small-scale production later on. Although this depends a bit on how everything is organized; I thought these guys were shipped directly from Bandai to the customer anyway and did not physically go through the GW warehouse along the way.

Switches are "essential" because Animal Crossing is giving extrovert people their social outlet. Seriously, check on your extrovert friends, they are NOT doing ok in lockdown.

The ones ordered through the GW website (I can't recall if it went on any general sale or not) might well "have" to go through the GW distribution network for how orders and everything back-end is setup. Ergo GW gets a big box from Bandi and then distributes the models through its own international system - likely sending them along with regular bulk shipments to their various distribution centres. Which in the normal running of things basically doesn't cost GW much if at all over their regular shipping and export costs.
In theory GW might be able to release them through their main HQ system if it only requires opening and boxing of shipped products. A limited skeleton staff could achieve that whilst maintaining healthy distancing and virus control measures.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I inferred from the graphic made for the Bandai release ( https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/10/05/pre-order-your-action-figure/) GW was not actually involved after taking the orders, but the customer service response clearly shows they're doing something. As far as government regulations allow, it wouldn't surprise me if many companies that closed shop are spending this time planning not just how to get back to normal eventually, but organizing safety equipment and designing revised shifts etcetera to get some things done much sooner. Reduced efficiency is better than not being able to do anything at all.
