So I might just be missing it, but what point levels are games that include Elites played at? I cannot find anything in the book about it, and it seems like 90% of these models won't fit in a 100 point game.

The Elites isn't a new mode, it just broadens the unit list. Some of the new missions use 125 points, some use 200.

All non-Commander units fit in a 100 point game, they just won't do you any good. Often you are better off with maybe one elite guy in a normal team, or you could try playing a bit bigger games. As always, have a talk with your opponent / gaming group / club tourney / whatever and agree on a level that suits you.

Personally I prefer the 125-150 points range, as using a terminator or two doesn't outright cripple your team.

#ConvertEverything blog with loyalist Death Guard in true and Epic scales. Also Titans and killer robots! C&C welcome.

Thanks!

It would seem that this should have just been an addition, giving rules to up the points. I don't like having points tied to the missions, but I will see what the natives do.

I actually think having the points tied to the missions is rather clever since Kill Team is based on a 20 man roster not a set list. Even just playing core rule book and Elites missions the player has to balance their roster to work for games at 100 and 125 points. While some factions have the space to easily fit what they want for both, other factions actually have some tougher choices on just how many chaff units to include or else leave points on the table for the 125 games. It's not perfect, but I do appreciate a system that tries to delay a meta solidifying for as long as possible. I also like the idea of Kill Team trying to push that 20 man roster idea with sideboards in mind, though; I do wonder how many communities actually adopt it. It is right there up with me wondering if some Tau players ignore Nerve check penalties for destroyed gun drones.
