I've picked up my Necron's from 4th edition now that I finally have someone to play with again, and he's a pretty solid tyranid player and is fielding 6 hive guard I believe with 36" no-LoS weaponry. What this means is that I need something to deal with it, because my old squad of flayed ones simply isn't going to cut it I need something bigger that can take a hit or three.

That being said, I've always liked the way the Triarch stalker looked, but hated the fact that it has a dude just chilling in the cockpit of it driving it I'm kind of more in love with the idea of cutting that guy out and turning it into essentially a robot dreadnought, like the new style wraiths and spiders are. Thoughts on what to do or how to make it happen/look cool?

Alternatively looking for good ideas to deal with said threats above would be welcome as well.

I could get an annihilation barge, but they've always jut looked like something out of Riddick to me, which has almost 0 appeal to me.

You're not alone, though I've not done this (started necrons and then fizzled when Daughters of Khaine came out)

Also try "google images" and search for conversions on the models name and it can give a selection of pictures that can link back to original articles or just provide some visual inspiration.

Those look exactly like what I was shooting for. I like the weapons on bottom and the green heart like thing on the painted model but that looks like it might be the harder conversion to make.

Thanks for the source I will definitely be using that as a reference.
