Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out how many Wyldwoods/Dryads I am going to need.
I've got the below to mix up a list with.
Drycha, Spirit of Durthu, Treelord Ancient, 2x Branchwych
32 Dryads
3 Kurnoth greatbows
3 Kurnoth greatswords
5 Tree Revenants
My understanding from looking at lists, is that the above will make a somewhat decent army, but the lists always leave out the # of Wyldwoods. I understand that there are some recent changes to summoning, and that I might need more Dryads.
Looking for some guidance!

New Wyldwoods are coming, like very soon. Don't buy the current ones for them.

Yeah, I saw that. Any idea on how many you'll need for a decent list? I think 3 is a good bet, but I don't really know.

Once the new models come out (where each 'citadel wood' is an individual tree with a curved base) I'd suggest getting two boxes and nailing down how to use them.
Just from browsing the leaked pages I have access to, your standard army can put down one for free, one through use of an artefact, and one through an ability that Durthu and the Ancient have for a maximum of 3, but unless you're going to take the acorn every time you're probably fielding just the two awakened woods.
That said, with more boxes you can make those woods bigger - and if you take Alarielle the sky's the limit.

You’ll probably want 4 or 5 of the new Citadel Woods boxes. A Wyldwood uses 3-6 Citadel Woods, so 1-2 boxes. The new rules on faction terrain limit where you can set them up more though so might hinder getting larger ones onto the table. It’s hard to say though without seeing just how big the new models are and getting some games with the new book.

No, GW released a video and news post a while back and basically its all stuck in a trading issue. This might not mean GW did anything wrong but could be the container their stuff is in houses other stuff that has got its shipping details wrong and thus is going through customs much much slower. However it could be any one of a number of other things. Basically its a waiting game.

There's a video by the AoS Coach, an Australian AoS channel, where he interviews two competitive Sylvaneth players about what to bring. Look it up, it's great stuff. It's from Jan 2019, so old battletome, but AoS 2.0
They begin with saying start with the "rule of cool", just pick cool models that appeal to you, and use that as a basis for friendly play. If you're gonna play super competitive though, they suggest having 2 or 3 units of Dryads. They say they are one of the best infantry units in the game, point for point great value, and I tend to agree with them. They have a tendency to 'stick' around. The guys in the video are running lists with 2 units of 30 Dryads and then one unit of 10. Then they have another 10 - 30 Dryads just for summoning based on your other spells available. One dude loves Durthu, but the other swears by Arielle who can summon more Dyads.
They also suggest grabbing about 8 woods for a 2k game. I agree with the comments above, grab a few first and see how they play-- but it appears to be essential to the strategy of Sylvaneth to place as many as you can and hopefully on the first turn.

I wouldn't follow any advice from January. The new book is so vastly different from the old, that is going to be it's own thing. The new terrain implementation really changes the overall dynamic. Get the new book and go from there.

So, new book is out for Australia at least, right? What’s the concensus on it?

The tome has been fully leaked for about 5 weeks, so a lot of people have gotten in a lot of games with them.
The general consensus is mostly positive, though the style of play and list building is 100% different from how it was before. This is due to the change up from the wargroves to glades, which is similar to how stormhosts and what not work. Some glades are very strong, with Winterleaf and Deadwood standing out the most.
A lot of the units that were not very good, got some pretty significant buffs. Spites are now by far the best offensive battleline for instance. T. Revs can now teleport anywhere on the board, so they are great as minimum chaff or last minute objective grabbers. Dryads are now the best option.
Drycha appeared to be nerfed at first, but after play testing it turns out she is quite strong. Kurnoth hunters are all pretty strong. Allarile was probably hit the hardest by the Nerfbat, but she is still usable.
