Or rather, any scaled down models like the old Epic range and changing Inches to Centimeters. Would it work/do you think it would be fun?

I was measuring this out this weekend, and a 2'x4' table translates to just over 10'x5' if you measure it in Centimeters (24" is just shy of 61cms, therefore 60cm treated as 60" becomes 5ft)
My boys and I are going to try a game out using Terminators as Imperial and Renegade Knights (might buy the Titanicus Imperial Knights someday), maybe throw in some Eldar WraithGuard as WKs.

Has anyone else tried something like this? I like the idea of scaled down 40K, but without having to learn a new ruleset like Titanicus/Epic.

Well, AT is hands down the best system currently produced by GW for 40k related things and one might just go with that... Doing a disservice to yourself by using their 40k rules, which are pretty lacklustre for things on that scale.

The new Apocalypse is a better starting point, it should work reasonably well with the default ranges in inches or centimeters. I've been thinking about trying Apoc with 6 mm models and given how much less space they take on the board, the default ranges work without major hitches (hell, normal infantry moved 15 cm / 6" in Epic and could do that thrice per activation ).

#ConvertEverything blog with loyalist Death Guard in true and Epic scales. Also Titans and killer robots! C&C welcome.

I probably should have prefaced that I do not wish to learn a new system. I only have time enough for 1 game due to work and family, and even then I just play my sons. Since I know 40K, that's the system we will be sticking with.

Which is a shame because I'd love to play Kill Team too. But my current opponents are my sons, who also just learned 40K, so I don't want to bring in non-40K rules to confuse them.

I guess part of my question is how to adapt 40k to only include units that have models at the same scale as Titanicus.

Sounds like you should be looking for Epic 40k models on e-bay.

Indeed. Although as I mentioned above, I can also use WraithGuard as WKs. Epic models seem a bit inconsistent and potentially expensive. I'll probably limit myself to Titanic units for now.
