Went for the RPG pledge even if that Elf Battalion was mighty tempting. Figured I can't bother building a 100+ minis army or painting 20+ times the same mini anymore. The mix on the RPG is interesting for various little projects.
Since it's my first time backing a KS, I do have a newbie question, if anyone could kindly help out. If I want to get some add ons such as a the Elf Queen, will there be a specific option to add this particular model or something?
EDIT: Ok, nevermind. Just read more carefully and I think I understood. Just add more cash and select the minis after (that last bit wasnt too clear for me )

Yes. Also, they've said the Backerkit will be open until December, so you can add funds up to then to select more stuff. But you only get access to the Backerkit if you back the Kickstarter before it closes - and there's a 1 GBP option just for that purpose. Of course, everyone in the KS would prefer you back as much as possible now to unlock stretch goals.

No it's one of their 3D print masters for the mold making IIRC.

Well- and this is on the assumption that the Tomb Queen is indicative of the size/scale of the stuff in this KS- I've taken this quick photo of the Tomb Queen with some models from other manufacturers
L-R Mantic Barbarian hero, Frostgrave Gnoll, TTCombat Tomb Queen, Mierce Teulu chap, GW Severina Raine, GW Primaris marine and finally the Brute from the earlier pictures

Is there any official word on if/when these will actually make to to retail at some point?
I'd really like some of this stuff, but I both have no use for fleshing out my old Tomb Kings stuff right now and not much free cash. Should I just go in a low level to keep the backerkit open?

They'd said halflings would be in the store in the next few months and rolled out after that.
Considering there aren't many actual exclusives I'd say it's a good indication they'll be available in the future on the store.

PM closes in December, so, if you'll have funds by then, pledge a pound plus shipping for access. AFAIK, Miniatures will reach retail. Creator is active in the comments, so you can ask there.

Yeah, decided to just back at a low level and I'll see what I want to do via the Pledge Manager.
Mostly just want to flesh out some core troops, but maybe get a Sphinx or two if they look cool.

It looks like TT is going to be selling through Warlord - their halflings are in the warlord store at the moment (although the army deals have sold out).
TT have said several times in the comments that everything will eventually make it to retail, but not all at once. The first few items should be 3 months after KS orders are done (making it roughly next summer for retail).

It's kind of weird to me that they would have them on someone' site but not their own, but I could imagine some logistical reasons for that.
In any case, I'll see what I want to get/like the look of once we are closer to December. Maybe by then I'll actually have gotten around to really organizing all the stuff I have laying around here. I've already shelled out a bunch of money for games I haven't played in forever with the recent Battletech kickstarter. Need to pace myself...

I know that feeling!
I assume that with all their large scale casting they've run out of space to deal with direct customer orders. Also, Warlords of Erehwon is probably a good platform to launch their minis with. I would imagine in time other retailers will sell their stuff too. I would also guess that eventually dropfleet/zone/relics/rumbleslam/caravale will all be dropped from the TT web store and just be sold through retail partners. But just guessing.

Yeah, that was exactly what I was thinking, plus, with all the minis in this new Kickstarter, that is a lot of work in and of itself, let alone dealing with retailing stuff.
I have a bunch of old Tomb Kings stuff, so all I really need is the flesh out the infantry and probably add a few monsters that I didn't get to pick up in the old days. Problem is, of course, is that my backlog is literally everything I own and that is kind of a lot. Plus, since I moved 7 years ago, I've played exactly 1 game of anything with my miniatures...yet I still buy more,

That is all too familiar: in the last 5 years I've played a little dropfleet, a few frostgrave campaigns, and one game of dreadball... In that same time I've picked up miniatures for at least 6 different games. I live in hope that I'll get back to the time when I could get multiple games in most weeks!

The halflings from their previous Kickstarter are hitting retail - and are reasonably priced.
So, odds are good.

Picked up a pledge from a friend who didn't want it and this morning had an email from Backerkit delivered to my spam folder. Was not expecting anything for a while yet, I thought December? or is that when the Backkit closes?

I got mine this morning too, and it is December that the pledge manager closes.
I know they've said they won't show everything before the pm closes, but I think I'm going to hold off for as long as possible before locking in my pledge, cause there's too many things that I'm interested in!

What Mr. Pie said (:
Bones V starts next week, so dunno how much money I'll have to spend on Desert. I'm only spending about $50. Desert's much more ambitious than their previous Halflings campaign, and the company's far more "riskier" than Reaper.

I don't really see much risk - they're smaller sure, but they've delivered before. A friend bought some of their Carnivale stuff and it looks like good quality resin work.
Admittedly mine is a gamer household so I'm able to increase my pledge on Desert while my partner backs Bones V, I know not everyone has the resources for both.

I completed everything, including the initial add-ons. Like that, I hope I can forget about this until it closes without the temptation of adding more (100+ minis is enough...). The triceratops cauldron news was really close! Eventually, I can always buy when it hits the shelves.

Lots of people just associate cacti with deserts, I guess. Not that I've spent a whole lot of my life thinking about cacti, but it wasn't until I saw the confusion about cactus men in an North African-style faction that I realized they're only found in the Americas. Can only assume the creators were in the same boat.

Introduced species, as it turns out. That said, I think we can all agree that cacti not being native to anywhere outside of the Americas isn't exactly going to break the immersive experience of cactus centaurs
