I don't believe they are knuckledusters.

Some of the 30K Ad Mech seige autonama have basically grav fists which hit like a truck. Ties with the grav gun and amp as it hits so hard.

My 2p.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

This.... upsets me.

Honestly i dont mind the over the top head.

the thing that bothers me about the model is actually the grav gun.

really sick of those things.

Grav hasn't really seen a lot of table time this edition, due to not being bery good, and at least it works as means of damaging fortifications. Plus the grav gives the model a different feel than melta would, so I can appreciate it being something different.

The top mounted gun thing is actually giving me a bit of a Saturine vibe, which I dig since those guys felt like walking heavy weapon emplacements.

It bothers me only because of the previous edition. i like the shoulder mounted gun. but would of preferred a melta or even a bolter of some sort imho.

Its a ok model at best for me - the shoulder gun looks a bit crap but its not gak like Centurions or Baby carrier.

Much prefer the Salamander.

A heavy bolter would be nice, but doesn't fit into the bolter drill, or fortification destruction parts of the Fists. If we went a different direction I'd argue for a Lascannon, but the fact they went with a Rapid Fire weapon makes me wonder if the Fists are going to lean into the Tactical Doctrine more.

Nope, no weapons in his fist. They are probably a secondary punch that occurs after the initial punch, hence the x3 strength of the weapon.

No, look at his NON-power fist. He has a gun on it. Seconded by the belt of ammo going to the fist. It's the same with the other fist. He's got powerfisted guns, ala Bobby and Vulcan.

Few things here:

1) that is a power cable, not a belt of ammo.
2) you posted both of these statements after the the leaked datasheet was posted... So....
3) it is the other portion of his signum array(bit over his right shoulder. Presumably the same portions are built into Iron Father Fierros' bionic eye.

As far as the OTT giant fist goes: I appreciate the S 3x rules reflecting the rediculous size of it. The gravgun lack of mounting does seem off though. Like it needs a little post and brace.

I'm just going to assume he either stole that fist from a Dreadnought, or it's some kind of experimental model (which explains why it needs it's own massive power cable) and he saw it and said "yeah, I could cast fist with that."

I think that if you can tweak the grav mount a bit and give him a helmet, its an decent model.

No idea about the IF guy but I'd be amazed if that was ever meant to be vulkan. Considering he carries the spear of vulkan the likelihood of him discarding it in favour of a thunder hammer seems pretty slim.

Its the same deal if the IF guy was supposed to be lysander

considering big lyssy has a very cool storm shield and a relic thunder hammer which has a fist on it.

What is it with GW and Primaris unhelmeted marine heads lately? The Raven Guard are all emo, and this new Imperial Fist is "Derpy Dan". Sculptors, move away from caricatures and cartoons!

The Salamander is not a bad looking model, although his lower face is covered with the breather mask. That might be what's keeping that figure from becoming another cartoon.

But what is wrong about the guys face, it is a regular dudes face, aside of the hair colour, I could find thousands of dudes having a face like that in my area. He has the classic miner/lumbermill/steelworker face.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

I think they're trying to give each chapter a distinct look and unfortunately some of it is verging to caricature.

I think miniatures are a bad medium for that. Some things 40k cannot do on the tabletop and varied faces seem to be on that list.

What do we mean "lately"? Most of the Marine characters have helmetless models. It's less common for them to have helmets unless their Chaplains.

Yeah, the trend has always been that sergeants and officers/characters have been helmetless.

Also, GW paints their figures in a cartoonish style, which tends to make characters look a bit off (worst example of late being the “male” Banshee autarch )

It is the cartoony look of the new helmetless heads. My 3rd ed. Blood Angels have their share of helmetless heads for the character models, but they are not goofy-looking like this Fist character or the Raven Guard.

I blame GW's low contrast paint style they've shifted too. It doesn't really give the models enough depth in the recesses which makes it feel more toyetic.
