I only found out about the Armies on Parade event a couple of months ago, so I sort of had to get the base work in high gear. Ended up going with the Cityscape Genatorium Sector as most of the base with a few extra bits added. While I didn't medal, I did take "Best Painted" - so overall I'm happy!

Those look fantastic - any chance of some close up so we can see all the details?

I didn't take any close ups of the full army on parade at the time, I do have some close ups of most of the miniatures on my blog - and I'm going to re-set the whole thing up here so I can get my Nikon out and get some good photos of everything including the base.

Fantastic. As a treadhead I do love me some great looking armour. Yours are top notch good sir.

Ps, wish forge world still sold the turret emplacements.

There's more treads and tracks in the wings for these guys... (including some more vintage Forgeworld - well, so old it was still Imperial Armour - stuff).

I miss a *LOT* of stuff that Forgeworld used to produce. Came to the DKK party late, so I'm having to scavenger hunt a lot of it...

Yeah there were lots of great little bits for the death korps. Sadly like a lot of stuff, forge world just chucked it out the window.

Hmm talking about the old imperial armour makes me want to dig out my boxed up guard stuff. Still have an unbuilt atlas recovery tank and a couple of leman russ laser destroyers to name but a few.

How many points is that? Like others I'd like some closeups.

Haven't run the numbers... per the guidelines it didn't have to be a legal army (though I figure it isn't too far off). I'll pull out Battlescribe and check...

No, but some of the miniatures are. I used an airbrush and panel shading using the black and white method on the the Baneblade and the Russ, the Chimera is old fashioned multi-layer contrast with AK paints.
