Updated pic of cultist champion. Using contrast and traditional paints I am trying to get them to tabletop level.

Undercoated the resin in black, had to strip the metal jumppack as it fell off the toothpick and smudged while dusting it with the black

Progress of last night, LT got his washes for the armour and both models the gold armour details and basecoated the banner. Next step is blocking in pouches and purity seals with white for their contrast paint treatment.

Well if it’s okay I want to change my plan. I downloaded rules for a game called Rumbleslam from ttcombat.com. It’s a miniature wrestling game

, while I won’t be using their models I’m going to try it out with my son this week. Figured I’ll just use some bones models that I picked up last night. Started painting and realized I hadn’t taken a picture yet

. Hopefully you can see it’s not even a full base coat yet. So the hero vs Gillian will be in the squared circle.

Got some painting done on the two bones figs.

Guess I should paint some pants on the “Female” figure even though her boobs are just out there

. Not done with them yet, but feeling good about the change of direction. Now to find some flunkies to go with them.

And would be cool, if you find the time for Eisenhorn, would love to see a showdown with Bellerophon. I painted the model last year, it is a fun one.

My experience with this contest is that lightning is half the battle; I’ve had some great looking models (imho!) that I’ve really struggled to get decent photos of (and I know I’m not alone in this).

Because they are heroes sharing the battlefield with the kind of monsters that are roaming around...

Got the bases ready for snow and finished the beige on the dragon today. I used stippling for the first time on the wings and my usual thin layer approach for the body working from zandri dust, to ushabti bone and then pallid Wych flesh. I'm pretty happy with it but let me know what you think.

Hello! New user on the site.

Figured I'd enter with this ghost I've recently aquired. Figured I'd paint him as a villian hunting unfortunate souls travling through a lost graveyard.

I want to take this opportunity to practice lighting and glow effects, something I've always wanted to get good at. (I'm terrible atm.)

Here's the ghostly villain complete! Had to do the sword a few times to get it to where it is now.

I'm overall pleased with how it turned out.

This is one of the more fun projects I've ever done, and very satisfying somehow as well. Just in time for the release of a whole army of plastic Sisters too. I look forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with for the month!
