I recently found this video for making bases that I really like, but I can't find the same paints (Viva) that was used in the tutorial, but it was posted in 2014 so it may not even exist anymore. I'm unfamiliar with crackle paints, so can anyone suggest a brand of crackle paint that will allow me to get this same effect?

"Elysians: For when you absolutely, positively, must have 100% casualties"
GW has their range of technical paints, some of which do this.
Martian ironearth i think is one. I believe there is another but i cant recall off the top of my head.

I saw a couple of other video's that commented that you should't paint/wash over the GW crackle paint as it fills in to much. Having never worked/tried for myself I don't know how accurate this is, or if that was for their older line. Maybe GW paint does not layer as thick as the type shown in the video.

Martian Ironearth is a reddish color (hence the use of the word 'Martian' in the name). Agrellan Earth would be a brownish color whereas Armageddon Dust would be a yellowish color.

You’re looking for crackle medium, you can get it in art stores. Golden and Liquitex make them, then you mix that with acrylic paint. I’d use cheap stuff and experiment with the proportions.
You can wash over gw crackle paint. It's the exact same as any other crackle paint. Who comes up with these daft rumours? That looks like agrellan earth to me. I've had a pot since 2014 so I don't know if they still make it, but if they don't you can buy any of their others and paint it the colour you want.

Armageddon Dust isn't a crackle paint. It has microbeads in it and leaves a sandy/gravelly texture when dried. In addition to the two mentioned earlier, there are also Martian Ironcrust, Agrellan Badland and Mordant Earth, which crackle into bigger chunks.

The Viva crackle works well.... but you can't find it. The "craftstore" crackle does NOT work. I've tried to find the Viva but its been impossible to get for a long time. The other crackle paints are too large of cracks.. or require all kinds of BS and don't work well. The Viva works as well as the Citadel crackle.. likely the same stuff TBH. But the craftstore stuff just doesn't cut it.

I've also heard that putting down a layer of Vallejo texture paste (doesn't really matter which one), then while that is still wet going with the GW crackle on top helps made the actual crack effect more pronounced, due to the differential drying times of the two different pastes.

So I picked up and tried the Agrellan Earth, and it really wasn't thick enough for what I was wanting, because of size of crackle and thickness of the crackle layer . I tried to paint it thicker on the base with no improvement.
Any other crackle paints/options are available that people can recommend?

I'm going to order some Vallejo to try this next.

Full disclosure, I've never actually done it myself, so there is likely some learning curve to how thick the layers should/need to be, but I trust the guy who said it that he wasn't just shilling Vallejo paste. (It was Vince Venturella on YouTube.)
The good news is that I find the Vallejo paste really useful in and of itself, so hopefully it wouldn't be a waste either way.

Used both Agrellan Earth and Viva. They work, but the paint has to be really high for proper cracks.
Nowerdays I prefer the egg shell method: Put some glue (not power glue, something that gives you a few minutes, I use standard UHU) on the base, add a piece of eggshell (remove the inner skin), break it (e.g. with the rear end of a brush) into small pieces and slightly pull those pieces apart with your tool as you see fit to create the cracks. Using this method allows you to instantly see the cracks and change what you don't like instead of having to wait what the crackling paint may or may not result in.

Bought the Viva paint 2 or 3 years ago in a shop in Germany, but a quick google search for "viva cracking paint" gives a number of results, a ebay search for "viva crackle" does too.
The Agrellan Earth is not inferior, though. The Viva needs to be applied equally thick (=very very very thick) and does not make better or deeper cracks IMO.

I've tried google, but the places I checked always say "Out of Stock/Unavaible" Might just be my luck on where/when I've looked
*edit* So as I go back and recheck, 2 places that has listed it as such, now show it in stock.

This. It's about the thickness of the application first and foremost.
Everywhere I look it is out of stock. You can get the primer everywhere but you cannot get the crackle. I found some gel based version from viva but that's not the same stuff and the results are not likely to be as good.
I've been looking for YEARS. AS it is a cheap alternative to the GW paints.

I also found it at the local Michaels Craft store, although it's not listed on the online store
I also have a Joann Fabric's near, and their online shows the primer, so maybe they will have the paint.
Yeah, that should be it, but I can't recall if that's a reformulation. Can you confirm that it makes the small "mud" type crackles and not the large radial fractures that the craft store ones usually result in?
