So, what is the skinny on this game? My office mate gave me a bunch of stuff

8 Raiders
2 Gladiators
2 Interdictors
6 ISD-1
4 ISD-2
2 Executors

A bunch of ties, interceptors, bombers.

I'm happy to receive it all, it's all in excellent condition, but I do have to ask, how the eff do I even play these Executors? They're massive!

I know nothing about the game, but I know the super star Destroyers are £200 each... and he just gave them to you?

Yeah, just got married and they're moving overseas in January. I offered money, but he didn't want it.

None of the ships mentioned is a super star destroyer though.
That said, thats a WHOLE LOT OF STUFF to just give away D:

I have a small collection of both imps and rebs that I havent touched for years, no one plays around here afaik. And to be fair, I hardly got time for the games i DO play so dont need another one.
But I just cant get rid of em, Armada is one of the best rulesets and neatest games ive ever seen.

And to think this was originally intended to be a Battlefleet Gothic game but for whatever reason FFG and GW couldnt agree on in. (If the rumors are true)

It was my mistake, I'm a casual fan of star wars, and I've actually not watched the originals in many, many years. I just remember having a couple of the old Micromachine SSDs when I was a kid and I think one of them was actually named "Executor" on the box. I just sort of turned that into my own shorthand. Sorry!

Well, to be fair to him, he makes around middle 6 figures per year in his work, so the whole lot is basically a 20$ bill to him. We've been friends for ages. I'm looking to see if I can find someone in my area to demo it for me, looks like there are 4 or 5 players here, so hopefully soon.

Hey, casual fan here as well! I think that "executor class" is a designation of star destroyers so that might be why that old model you mentioned was named such!
In Armada its simply known as SSD, but I know it has a title upgrade named "Executor" so theres always that

You should really try to get the game demoed, if you have time for it and people to play with it is time SO well spent!
