Timesplinter Cloak
Once per battle, you can re-roll a single hit roll, wound roll, or damage roll made for the bearer of the Timesplinter Cloak. In addition, roll a dice each time the bearer loses a wound; on a 5+, the model does not lose that wound.
Guardian Protocols
Roll a D6 each time a friendly <DYNASTY> CHARACTER loses a wound whilst they are within 3" of this unit; on a 2+ a model from this unit can intercept that hit - the character does not lose a wound but this unit suffers a mortal wound.
Both rules happen at the same time, when a character loses a wound. Thus sequencing comes into play, and the player whose turn it is decides the order. If its the turn of the player who controls the necron models he can choose to roll for the lychguard, and on 2+ they suffer a
MW. If the 2+ roll fails the timesplinter cloak can be used. If its not the player who controls the necrons, and the cloak comes first, the outcome is almost the same. If timesplinter cloak is used first and fails, the character would lose a wound, and the lychguard could intercept that on a 2+. If that fails as well, the character would lose the wound. If the roll succeeds the lychguard suffer a
MW.
