Urgh, doesn't this cost as much or more than when it originally came out and had rules included?
£60-65 and I probably would have got a set, mostly for the CSM, Culltists and characters.
IMO the dread, DW sergeant and the tactical marines are pretty poor sculpts comparitively

I'm not going to re-read the lunacy that is the last few pages of this thread, but I'd be very surprised if anyone actually said that. Even that one guy banging on about how relatively difficult it might be for an Inquisitor to acquire power armour, I don't think even that guy said that.

Yep and yep (the marines in particular have their iconography stretched too much, and quite a few details are skimped or poorly done).

For a higher premium, you too can flood the secondary market with gak to try to capitalize on the handful of models people actually want.

I'm also not entirely convinced I couldn't do some hunting around and find an old box or two in low traffic comic or hobby stores. There were just so many of the things, and used for two 'editions.'

Bloody hell, I bought DV at the end of 7th for about £50. Surely they won’t be making many of these at £85.

I still have an unused box set somewhere - I really hope that these are leftovers and they have not devoted their apparently already heavily stretched resources to making this!

The only thing I can think of is FotM followers, because I can't really think of dark angels fans that don't already have the models. Of course thinking that dark angels might become FotM is probably a tad optimistic, because PA has fallen well short of the kind of power creep that gets factions fair weather fans. The strongest PA splat so far is probably black templars, who got there standing on the backs of the imperial fist.

Constantly being negative doesn't make you seem erudite, it just makes you look like a curmudgeon.

Dammit, just put those Chaos forces in a box all their own as Chosen, as well as the more unique cultists. I think those would see pretty well. At least release Kranon as a single model, I would buy a bunch of those.

only if you genuinely think black templars can combine their rules with Imperial fists.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

A rather strange choice by GW it seems.
I still have the Dark Angels and at £85 it's too much. They could have re-done the Chaplain at £15-20 instead.
It's a shame they couldn't split the forces due to the design - I might have gone for the Chaos lot at £35-40.

Even most FotM followers aren't going to buy into Tactical marines though, so they're out. It's a fluffy boxset at best, I was lucky to get one for free not so long ago, and with an earlier purchase of the box, plus online add-ons of extras, have plenty of tactical marines, terminators and Ravenwing (of course I added to the latter 2 with unique sets).

I always wanted the Chosen + Lord + Aspiring Champion to paint up as a skirmish warband, but that's it. It's something I should have bought from my favorite bitz seller back in the day, back when I could have bought them all for about 25 bucks, and regret it.
