Oh.
Uh.
Good news, bad news then.

Settra and Khalida already made the MTO round, July of last year.

Not those guys, but rather the plastic sets. I have no interest in the heroes... But the tomb guard? yes yes yes yes.....

I don't even remember plastic tomb guard. The metals were good enough that I never looked for replacements and their last codex was so terrible I never wanted to.

[Edit: found pics. Blah. Very glad I stuck with metals)

Aside from the wacky monster parade, most of the plastic TK stuff was so old I doubt they'd ever revisit it. And I'm reasonable certain the last 'last chance to buy' had a 'and we're totes serious this time' disclaimer.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

In addition to the Dark Vengeance figures GW is also making these four available again Naaman, Cypher (old sculpture), Asmodai (new primaris model coming?), and a Dark Angels Veteran Sergeant (chain sword over head with a plasma pistol).

Well, no plastic DV chaplain available. Bummer.

But hoooooly hell. $230 for the miniature content of DV, when, at release, it was only $165.
And then lets not look past them asking for $50/55 a miniature for the others. Someone call a rehab centre. GW are smoking meth again.

I would have quite happily purchased this entire MTO run, as everything is of interest to me. But not when they go and ask $440 for the lot.

That Chosen guy with the two lightning claws.... I got a BUNCh of him from my FLGS's used case for almost nothing a couple years ago ($1 per model). I then used a handful of spare jetpacks I had to make a unit of Warp Talons

Hmm. It would appear that they've given the MTO Asmodai an updated banner. That looks sculpted as opposed to the old paper one.

I was interested until I saw it was all or nothing. At least this means I won't be spending out more this Christmas!

Its kind of insane how much they're asking for Dark Vengenace. Especially since it was only $100 at the initial release, and I think 15$ more when it came with either that exclusive chaplain or the aspiring champion, both of which are absent from the set...

..somehow im not surprised. it had to catch up to current prices from its rate back then with its box only kits "you can't get anywhere else".

...because they shoulda printed that as a chaos cultist kit how many years back. but unlike the DA side, you can't even purchase the cultists or even the chaos side seperately from what i saw. egh...

You can't buy either side separately.

The "Dark Angels Made to Order Collection" is the Dark Vengeance one plus the four DA characters.

The closest thing you can do is buy four or five of the cultist individually. Which isn't great since they're A) the same models from DV and B) meant to be used as a horde and the repetition is annoying

Yeah, and they don't even have the full range of DV cultists! It's only 5 of them.

I know that cultists are a very conversion/kitbash friendly unit type, but that itself can be an issue for horde units. Kitbashing a few cultists for Kill Team or Necromunda is one thing, but kitbashing 30 of them for an Emperor's Children army is quite another.

Well, they'll still probably sell.

Wierd this is a reprinted set, when many people have been clamoring for the Death Koptas from Black Reach for years and years.

Ofc they'd sell, you get FREE Total Warhammer with it!!!!

Until people realized that Total Warhammer 2 is a thing and Total Warhammer is just a demo, short lived version of it.

And that the glorious setting and units no longer exist on the table top...lets see what you could have won. (I am over it honest)

..true. so much for made to order. even the dark angels set up is terrible here, even if it's vaguely workable if you actually want and don't have those. but i so highly doubt that.

It makes sense because of psychic awakening, but it feels like a waste. They need to look at the secondary market, see what is insanely overpriced, and release that. There is so much dark vengeance stuff out there because that set was out for a long time.

Ideally I hope this opens up other starter sets to the same treatment. I'd get several copies of Battle For Macragge, Assault on Black Reach, and any of the WFB sets.

Looking for dice from the new AOS boxed set and Dark Imperium on the cheap. Let me know if you can help.
