I"m looking to buy shining spears. Are they their own box or do you use the wind rider jetbikes box to make them?

Shinning spears are their own box, they are basically the normal bikers with a fine cast upgrade kit.

Blood for the bloo... wait no, I meant for Sanguinius!

They have their own box which is the windrider sprues with finecast upgrades.

Tip: You can fairly easily use bright lances cut offs and some GS/bits to convert wind riders into shining spears.
My friends done this.

I would convert anyway, the shining spear kit is very lackluster visibly.

The official Shining Spears are still the old pre-7e Windrider kit so they're bigger chunkier jetbikes. If you did want to use the new Windriders as a base you'll probably want at bare minimum a head swap and lances; Cold One Knights have good lances but the Eldar/Dark Eldar don't have a lot of different head options. I like the Scourge heads because they're clean helmets that look very distinct from the basic infantry, but the Shining Spears have no prior connection to the feathers as part of their aesthetic.

Im planing on using shadow warriors heads and silver helm/lance hands bits with Bright Lances for my conversions.

"This plastic and resin multi-part kit contains everything needed to assemble three Aeldari Shining Spears, complete with three jetbikes."

They are the old jetbike models, with Finecast torsos, heads and weapons. Handlebars are also Finecast, IIRC.

Or, kitbash and convert.

I'd kitbash. The Finecast models are awful.

Another possibility would be Harlequin's Kisses for the muzzle; I've used them for Ranger long rifles before and they make great laser muzzles, they're cheap bits, and it might look more in scale with the lance body than Bright Lance parts.

As others have stated, I highly recommend just kit bashing your own. The new WR kit is far better than the old one that the Spears still come with, and the Spear upgrade bodies are finecast (yuck).
Do a Google search for "Shining Spear Conversion". There's tons of options

There is an excellent Russian version on eBay every now and then. Not re-cast, but unique copy-cat styled.
