Are there different difficulty levels of play? How are they incorporating frontline military top tier TAGS in with ostensibly civilian mining equipment?

TAGs drop in equipped with just a chain rifle I believe and procure stronger weapons on site. Likely still the case for military TAGs for raisins.

Looks like the Pan-O hacker is the one remaining to be unlocked. That would take the core box up to 16 metal minis, the Shai-Hulud ( yeah Stoorworm, but really, we know.) and 4 mining TAGs, along with all the trimmings. At this point, it is more than a battle box's amount of goodies, for which CB wants €120, same as the core pledge.
The platinum pledge is the one to get though, with 8 more minis coming.
I am now mildly intrigued. I'll have to read the rules and think about it. Temptation intensifies, to my surprise.
Does anyone here play Aristeia? I picked up the Maximus model and wanted to convert him to have a weapon (sabre or lance) instead of just a rage fist (sans tactical rock/box). I saw he conveniently has an alternate skin fig with a spear which works for me. I don't know anything about the game but it looks like the card stats are identical from the official website. Does the spear actually do something in game?

I wonder if the incorporation of main game HI was planned from the get-go and just not revealed so as to maintain the mining focus/theme or if it in response to feedback.
It does provide partial cover. And an elevated position. It would do fine on the table.
The pledge amount is nearing USD $300k, and the core mini stretch goals are completed, so we'll start seeing the platinum minis now. I wonder at what level we see that Van Zant (based on the silhouette), which appears to be the last mini to be unlocked.
It certainly plays like a nice beer and pretzels game with the ability to have 3+ players, according to the play through video.
Shipping is just 1 wave this time. I must say, Temptation intensifies.
I missed defiance which had some great Combined Army stuff - so I'm on the fence with this one. I'm very tempted to back (esp as its only the miner tags and the big things that are plastic) this with a tiny amount and cross my fingers that I can afford to actually pledge when the PM hits in the future (or at least by the end date).
