Caskuda looks nice... Maximus less so. Not bad but rather just not great specifically in his pose. Admittedly I'm a bit biased as Max was my first Infinity universe mini.

Really love what they did with the Caskuda. The fluff has always been that its a armor suit that got nicknamed by humans due to its resemblance to a space insect. This really captures that without being an actual bug.

I think there was a good few years where it was almost all hits for me, but there have been quite a lot of misses the last few years. That said, I quite like the new Exrah designs.

GMG YouTube review on the caskuda set material is eye opening. He really tries to say it's acceptable and great but the more I see the review it becomes obviously clear that the material is not great.

I’ve not owned any siocast models yet but a lot of what I’ve seen of it doesn’t make me want to change that much.

I have one SioTag now and two SioREMs. They required slightly different methods of cleaning them up than metal, but overall I had no issues. The fact that plastic/pvc whatever you want to call it removes the need to pin the models completely more than makes up for the perceived loss of "quality" as far as I'm concerned. I would much prefer it was "hard plastic" of course, but hell will freeze over before that happens with anything from Corvus.

I succumbed to that new O-Yoroi and it was quite the adventure. Joints were missing entirely, parts didn't line up properly and all that good stuff. I rarely leave a model unconverted, so I had planned to give it some additional attention anyway, but boy has that turned me off from further siocast purchases.
Edit: As for the above post, I had to pin three of the joints as a result of the bad fit: the left shoulder and both hands.

It has its pluses and minuses. Pewter definitely has its own problems and the Sio paints up nice. I don't love it but I feel like transporting my Salamander would be a lot easier if it wasn't a giant fragile hunk of metal so I don't mind it for the big stuff either.

Just skimming through the video, it looks like an interview only with no preview pics or concept art unlike most of the BOW/OTTCB videos. For those who have watched the full video, any concrete info on the game mechanics, scale, etc?

- vectored movement with weapons fire affecting movement
- a bit of resource management (e.g. energy to drive or weapons)
- planning to start with one ship for each major faction, expand with more ships later (if I understood correctly single ship boxes)
- KS is planned for end of September
Nothing on scale or how many factions they have planned to start with, though I assume we'll get maybe four for starters and then unlock more through SGs (pure speculation on my part).
Sound like a small scope game with only a couple of ships per side and more in-depth rules.
The video isn't really that long because you can skip almost half of it where they talk about the companies background.

Thanks for the rundown. Looking forward to hearing more about the vectored movement as I was just asking about it (again) as it's one of my preferred mechanics when done right.

Thanks for the link. It's obviously just a first impression but I was relatively underwhelmed by the seeming lack of dynamism mixed with the high level of book keeping required. I'm fine with power allocation but my first wargame was the old FASA trek ship game from the 80s. I'm not sure this will fly with the post Xwing community...

It kind of feels like a resource management game (which isnt bad) that had the table-top element added on? I feel if the game used a grid board, it would only make the movement and targetting easier and less prone to mistakes?
