GW used to to black plastic slotta bases in the 80s and early 90s. They also did some of them in METAL.

Well holy crap, thanks a bunch! I guess I did know about the old flyer hexes, but never heard of the normal slotta hexes! Or separate metal bases for that matter. Got any idea on that model on the hex base then? I combed the 80s and 91 catalogs and didn't find him, but it was very late so I may have missed him. I was only looking at Orks and Goblins too, both Fantasy and 40k.
Some of their old Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper figures came with hex bases (they had a 2000AD related licence back in the late 80s, with a Dredd rpg, RT boardgame or two. A couple of their Rogue Trooper minis got ported across to 40k afterwards (the southern trooper was one of them).

Can anyone identify the Parts in the picture? I just bought a sizeable bits box, but a lot of this has me stumped.
Most of this is going to be terrain to be honest. But maybe there is something usefull/valuable in here for a guard player. The basilisk gun i know, and the one below it is from a tank destroyer I think.
Thanks!

In the future you should label each similar part with a # or letter so we can help you better.
With that said, bottom primed black pair= IG Macharius sides;
bottom 3rd from right= leg of IK cerastus knight upper leg
primed metal cannon barrel= IG basilisk cannon barrel

3 & 4 look like the side armour from the Arkurian-pattern super-heavies. 9 looks like a MKIIB Land Raider Sponson. 15 could be the Volcano Cannon side armour. 8, 12, 14, 17 & 18 look like Thunderhawk bits. 7 could be an Eldar Pulsar barrel.

Thanks a lot for the help!
Having looked around some more it seems that 15 is a (broken) armor plate from an actual titan!
Makes me wonder is 23 and 26 are as well

I am about 80% sure it's a Micro Machines Merkava (Israeli tank) from the late 90s. I had 2 I used as Predators in my younger, poorer days.

D are late 90ies versions of Space Marine Razorbacks (small turrets http://www.solegends.com/citcat1998/1998P439-01.htm) and Vindicators (hull-mounted cannon - http://www.solegends.com/citcat1998/1998P434-01.htm), the bulldozer blades (G) also fit on these.

|
A- Epic Tyranid Dominatrix and Leviathan/Capitol Imperialis
B- Epic Warhound Titan, with random Chaos Warlord bits. Looks like the other bits for the aforementioned Imperial superheavy.
C- Epic Tyranid Trygons and the head for the Dominatrix.
D- Epic SM Razorbacks
E- No idea, too low rez. Either some Epic Ork trukks at a guess or bedrolls for tanks.
F- The heads and arms for the Trygons and another Dominatrix part.
G- Dozer blades for various Epic scale Imperial tanks.
H- Another Warhound Titan with other random bits like Hellhound turrets and what looks like Eldar Titan bits on the left.

The Overwatch/Run and Jam tokens are from Necromunda. I can't recall if they were used in 2nd Ed WH40K but I still have my Necromunda tokens.
The Detected is also, IIRC
Edit. I see you have multiple writing styles there. The calligraphy and type printed ones.
Edit 2 hmmm I cant find my other tokens but can find my Epix scale ones. Go figure. I think the Wound tokens are 2nd Ed?
