GW is unusually slow with PA6 news though? This can be evidenced as we slip further along into the month. If it followed the same pattern as PAs before it, it would have been up for pre-order the end of the first week of the month.

Looks like some people just like to claim the moral high ground, regardless of inconvenient facts like 'the truth' or 'what is actually happening'.

The preorder dates for the previous PA’s have been 12th Oct, 16th Nov, 30th Nov, 18th Jan, 8th Feb. Absolutely not the end of the first week of the month every time. .

The fact that it’s up for preorder later than you want it doesn’t mean the news is any slower. It’s just as close to the preorder date as any of the other books.

12th Oct - 16th Nov - 5 weeks.
16th Nov - 30th Nov - 2 weeks (this correct?).
30th Nov - 18th Jan - 7 weeks.
18th Jan - 8th Feb - 3 weeks.
8th Feb - 21st(?) March - 6 weeks.

Assuming it goes for pre order next week (the earliest it possibly can) it has had the longest break between PA releases since the Christmas shutdown. Prior PAs average 4 weeks apart (including Christmas shutdown). Excluding Christmas shutdown the average is 3 weeks 3 days.

This release has taken roughly twice as long than the average if we exclude Christmas shutdown. 1.5 times if we include it.

It's also the first book with marine content post marine FAQ so could be a reprint issue, might also have been slowed due to the Corona virus affecting the printers. I doubt they're holding out just to troll space wolf and ork players.

Aren't they doing the printing in China?

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

It's not a reprint issue, these books are written way before that was put into effect and while the coronavirus might start causing delays that'll be with future releases. Stuff like Fab Bile might very well be delayed IMO depending on lockdowns and stuff but I imagine this release is close enough in date that it slips by

Edit: To clarify, why would they reprint their PAs for the marine FAQ? They'd just put out an errata like before. The CSM codex 2.0 was riddled with errors, the SW codex got FAQ'd with new warlord traits etc

The books are already printed and sat on shelves somewhere. As are the models. It's too late. GW aren't going to spend the money to reprint books because that will hurt their bottom line.

There's no way this release date is caused by Coronavirus. The timeline just doesn't match up.

Edit - GW obviously aren't doing this to 'troll' anyone. Perhaps there's more to this PA? Perhaps they believe the current PA offer warranted a slower release. Who knows. Poor customer management in my opinion - Space Wolf and Ork players, like their respective factions, are not known for their zen-like patience.

There ain't coming reprint. Get real. 3 or so month delay to reprint? Incidentally that would mean june release...reprint isn't done and shipped in days.

Rule leak starts after preorder announcea as usual. Anybody expecting sooner than that is just entitled snowflake demanding more because he/she thinks his/her faction is so special deserving more than others.

Pa6 preorder isn't announced yet. Thus no rule leaks. Simple as that. March release schedule was set in month ago. And no reprints either. And thanks to that preorder is in march and not months late.

So far no corona infections from non-living like books/containers either. No reason to delay. Only danger corona poses is if all non-essential stores and posts are ordered to close to prevent human to human interaction

I suppose, to those people, it's a delay when compared to the other PA releases, as I have shown above, but is reposted here for your reference;

So it's now official that ritual of the damned was the most delayed PA, and people here were arguing like it was fine when we were pointing that out...

Went back and answered my own question - dates are for the weekend things went up on pre-order, rather than release weekend:
8/2 - AT new Starter set & Nemesis & Terrain; 40k PA5 & GSC Start Collecting & Kelermorph & Chibis
15/2 - AOS Boxed Set heroes; Warcry Beasties; Necro Goliath Stuff; ME SBG Rereleases; BSF Nurgle
22/2 - 40k - Valhallan (& Yarrick) Made to Order
29/2 - 40k - BoTP Eldar & Dark Eldar units individual release
7/3 - AOS - Seraphon Battletome & Terrain; Start Collecting sets
14/3 - 40k - Sisters of Battle Final Wave

One thing I'll note that I hadn't allowed for was that they don't seem to mind mixing SG releases with 40k/AOS releases, when I was under the impression they preferred to keep them distinct.

Damn it, he’s got 12 wounds and is a monster so no vehicles so will be slow, and can be targeted. I guess you can still chuck him in the Teliporta. Only taking 4 wounds is pretty bonkers though.

Interesting. So Ghaz would have a 6+++ as well as only being able to lose 4 wounds. Seems pretty tough. Would you mount other units in Trukks still eith him or just charge heaps of dudes up with him on foot?
