It's Sunday evening - time to gather around, get the kids off the lawn and share in the delights of the past darn it!

So lets hear them - perhaps a movie track, or a TV show theme. Maybe its an iconic bit of music; the first track you ever heard of your favoured band; the music that played at a major event in your life - whatever it is come share!

I'll get the ball rolling with

Homewrd Bound (especially at the 6 minute mark where it builds up to the grand ending). Brings back fond, if sad memories of the film. A great bit of cinema that has become quite forgotten. Made way before you could just CGI any tricky animal film.

Indeed. And it's not just nostalgia talking.

Every kid I know that's seen it has loved it as I did. Given it was released in what, 1984 (I didn't see it until around 1988, on VHS) it has aged wonderfully, despite a distinctly 80's soundtrack.

Funny story? Me seeing it for the first time lead me to my first proto-internet idiot. You know, the type that just nay-say everything.

Despite not having a VHS player (must've seen it at my Granny's house), I was still the first kid in our class to see it. 7/8 year old, very excited Wee Mee is explaining to the class, and get to the point where Megatron is turned into Galvatron, only for Dougie Wallace to pipe up that I'm obviously making it up because he has Megatron (true), and that toy didn't turn into Galvatron (which is nothing like what I claimed). And he would not let it go.

I think we even had a punch up in the playground over it?

Batman: TaS intro music. X-Men takes a close second. Find me cartoons these days that even come close to sounding that awesome.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Close, but Xmen intro song is still one of the best.
