Nothing says "Death Guard" like an army devoid of any Plague Marines...

Sadly, that's how many play them these days. Tons of 'walkers and cultists for troops and then load up on toys. The Marines just aren't very point efficient. My 1000 and 2000 point DG armies both make use of 2 squads of marines, and I ofetn get really surprised looks from my opponents ....

Edit: I just googled ablutions and apparently it does not including dropping a duece. I should have looked it up early sorry for any confusion. - Baldsmug

Psiensis on the "good old days":
"Kids these days...
... I invented the 6th Ed meta back in 3rd ed.
Wait, what were we talking about again? Did I ever tell you about the time I gave you five bees for a quarter? That's what you'd say in those days, "give me five bees for a quarter", is what you'd say in those days. And you'd go down to the D&D shop, with an onion in your belt, 'cause that was the style of the time. So there I was in the D&D shop..."

If morale made a difference that would do it.

I fear that's kind of a normal thing for most Chaos armies.

I mean, I've been playing my Chaos as Red Corsairs almost exclusively since getting back into 40K. They love having Marines. They can all advance/charge and I get extra CPs for taking units that (IMO) I should be taking in the first place. I like being rewarded from a rules perspective for sticking to the fluff. That's the way the two should interact all the time. Sadly GW's rules have more often than not made that next to pointless.
