Seems weird that Corax would be not a psyker and still capable of becoming what's essentially a demon prince which means he's definitely not a Pariah. It seems more likely to me that he is a psyker but he channels it unconsciously to seeing through illusions and such.

Pariahs can burn out and cease to be pariahs, and ultimately become mutated or possessed. It happens to Frauka, Ravenor's untouchable, to a Sister of Silence (who ends up a mutated spawn) in the Horus Heresy series and even to a Culexus in Daemonifuge

That seems odd, I thought it was a permanent thing. It could get weaker but never leave.

It takes a LOT of warp energy (the daemon which burned out Frauka was beyond titan-sized when it finally manifested), but, you know - "charging into the eye of terror" and all that.
