I'm close too, probably going to be last minute as usual.

Edit: Okay, damn it, just discovered I've painted the wrong model. Got to paint an entirely new guardian body to go with the arms/weapon (flamer) I've selected because the arms don't fit the body I've painted. I have two to paint in the same colours and I must have picked up the wrong one initially after I primed them. Well, that really puts me under pressure. Damn damn damn damn damn...

Finished Eisenhorn and Cherubael

Eisenhorn's actually my first resin model, and it turns out I'm not really a fan of resin. I didn't do a great job cleaning it up and that didn't become clear until I was painting it. I've got the same problem with the chaplain that was in my proof pic. I'm part way through painting him and still seeing bits of resin I've not cleaned up. I guess I've learned to be more careful if I get another resin model! But hopefully it doesn't show too much in the finished model.

There's some great finished entries so far. Looking forward to voting. And it's been nice doing this again for the first time in maybe 2+ years!

Dark Angels/Deathwing - just getting started!
Space Marines - Stark Crusaders 4500pts/PL244 (2700pts painted)
Eldar - Biel Tan 2000pts
Space Wolves 1500pts

I took advantage of the theme and did a terrain piece for my Infinity table.

A MDF biker bar with some modifications. I did a few simple designs (door, balkony and billboards) in SketchUP to spice up the building.

Some VIP shots.

I will post the final pictures tomorrow.

I know right!
Awesome job on the details!
Reminded me of a lord comisar, and how hard it was to paint all the details.
But Eisenhorn is worth it, such a cool character!

That is a pretty army! Love the color scheme and finally some real sized spears.
Reminds me of Age of Wonders III Tigrans !

I think I'm going to be having some serious Indomitus envy over the next month or so as everyone gets to grips with that box of goodies! Looking forward to seeing them, you have a scheme in mind?

@Freya: those are some badass Wolves. Love the faces and war paint. Second from the right is my favourite, such a dynamic pose.

@Josh: really neat terrain piece, love the glowiness.

I'm going with Dark Angels to fit in with what can be loosely described as my "army."

I've been painting all day yesterday (I took the proof pic on Sunday I think) and all day today and I've still got a lot to do. It's going to be tough. I'm dreading doing the transfers, and might not do any weathering.

The alternative is failing the Emperor. You wouldn’t want to do that, would you?

Gutted, but I'm not going to get mine finished.

Today was my last day at work due to covid related redundancies, and I'm just not in a frame of mind to do even mediocre work - which to be fair was all I was expecting this month.

Better start planning next month's mastermind to ensure I only miss one month (luckily being more of the chaotic persuasion means Nevelon's threat of failing the false emperor rolls off my back.... )

Finally finished at the eleventh hour, a quintet of guardsmen from the 122nd Cadian regiment off to secure an objective somewhere.

I had technical problems editing these pictures, so I've put my five submissions in the spoiler below because they're a bit big.

Hang in there!

And while you might be immune from the threat of failing the Emperor, I don’t want you crying to me if you get turned into a chaos spawn.

Final entry from me, I'd like to do a tad more but time and sight are against me. Happy enough with it, especially for a 3d printed piece one done over only a couple of days. Shot for a mix of texture work and a more painterly style evocative of a lot of 40k art, not quite Blanchitsu but heading in that sort of direction.

Good luck everyone!

Thank you! I'm still really just starting to learn advanced techniques. I also used so much glitter I think i'll never free my workspace of it... those bases are covered in glitter... blurred in the photos but you can almost see.

@Freya, yeah these bases look great as far as I can imagine them behind the blur ... what are the larger crystals, tho? I've been looking for something like this but haven't found anything yet.

(Gradients also turned out super nice!!)

I’ll be putting together the vote thread at some point tomorrow, so you have the time zones working for you. Unless Para wants to crack down and close it, I’m fine stretching things out a bit.

I'm not surprised that you've lost motivation after that, I hope you find something suitable quickly.

Yeah, as usual I'm happy for entries to come in tomorrow morning, don't want people rushing pics if a few extra hours means they can take nicer ones.

Slipping these in on the final day. This month has been hectic; home stretch of the MBA (just finished! woo) plus getting my Instagram and YouTube channels up and running (learning Premiere is a pain) has taken up the majority of my time.

These two were to test my Infinity schemes before I painted up something actually ObSec for this contest, but alas didn't manage to get any other models done this month, so they'll have to do.

Proof pic. It's an older one but it'll do.

I mean I don't know much about Infinity, but these guys can take objectives, right?

Is it okay if I post photos tomorrow also? Painting is just about done, but photos aren't going to get done tonight. I can't promise first thing as I have to work around a crazy seven year old. I'll get on it tomorrow and keep you up to date if that is okay?

Please don't go without me!
