Hello everyone! I've acquired a lot of Warcry (AoS) models and I'm trying to store them properly. They are too thin and fiddly to cut foam sheets for, which works great for 40K. So I want to go with magnetic storage that's all the rage in the AoS community. Can anyone tell me where to buy metal sheets that I can cut to meet my requirements? I have the storage system I want to use; and the tools to cut and attach these sheets of metal. I just want to find sheet metal that's thick enough and magnetic enough for magnets to adhere to. Anyone have a link to an Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, etc.. page that has what I need? I found a post showing the sheet metal, but the poster never shared the product name or a link to a page that sells it. It's the second post that has AT models in it.

Thank you!

Not sure if you will get this over the pond, but here we have really useful boxes. There's a company that sells adhesive magnetic ferro sheet that are fit to size for these boxes.

I've been moving all my 40k stuff to this method for storage and transportation.
With enough Magents you can keep chunky metals in place lol. Plastics are perfect for that.

Thank you, I used the description of those to find similar sheets on Amazon.

I use Galvanized Steel Flashing Shingle from home depot, should be available depending where you live, they are cheap and easy to cut to size. They come in a couple of different sizes like 5x7 and 8x12

I found that the flexible magnetic sheet didn't hold individual.minis that well, or maybe I was using the wrong magnets. So I added some metal.angles that I can put individual.squads on. The rare earth magnets in the base stick really well to the steel angle, and the much bigger surface area of the angle sticks well to the flex sheet.

Using the really useful box approach for my.blackstone fortress minis.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I use 22ga sheet steel for my transport system. It provides much stronger adhesion than galvanized flashing.

I got mine on Amazon (this listing specifically), but 22ga is a common size so most hardware/metal supply stores should carry it.

I wanted to make a wall storage/display using metal sheets.
And wanted to make it as cheep as possible, and avoid hrs or work with a cuttoff-wheel .

I found cheep metal rulers at local dollar store, and came up with this:
The only cheapest metal rulers are 1$ each, but are at an angle.

Made 2 mistakes:
1 did not space out the "shelfs" enough and the taller models don't fit.
2 And do not have wall space to mount the "shelf"

Will redo this in future with metal sheets and an angle grinder to exactly what I wanted, but that wont be cheep due to metal sheets, and good face-shield before working with cuttoff-wheels.

For simple storage and transportation, old metal tool boxes maybe?

If you have one, Lowes or Home Depot sells all manner and various sizes of Galvanized sheeting. That's where I get mine.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Yes, also, metal scrap yards sell all kinds of sheets, and sometimes can cut them for you into strips, with that big industrial pedal chopping sheet cutter.
