Hey, I've been out of the hobby for some time, making this post so I can make a painting and modeling thread with image links.
I'm hoping to get into some more competitive play for 40k, in the Boston area. If anyone can recommend gaming stores with good 40k communities please do so, I know Pandemonium exists but would prefer not to drive in Boston/Cambridge if possible as it's a real pain with the traffic and parking.

Hello and welcome to dakka! I'm not in the boston area, but a quick google maps search turned up: The hobby bunker, and Battleground games and hobbies which seem to be a little further out from cambridge. You might start scoping those out? Hope this helps. And should you feel the inclination, would love to see you document your hobby with a painting and modeling blog. Cheers!
Edit: May have lied about hobby bunker. Looks like they might only do Legion and Warmahordes. Or they have an outdated website that never re-incorporated GW products.

Thanks for the welcome. I've heard of Battlegrounds and there's one near by, but their website is a bit out of date, so I don't know what games they run normally.
Mostly hoping to find an active community who wants a more competitive focus and set up a game online before heading to the store. It's not all that fun for either party when you show up an play a pick up game with someone looking for a more narrative game and you're running a high power list.
