I would encourage all players to send a message to GW about this - in your words or mine.
Dear GW,
You recently released the FAQ for Saga of the Beast. Contained within it was a correction for how Orks are capable of acquiring "Kustom Jobs". It unambiguously states that we are required to have a Mek Boy Workshop in our army to be able to use Kustom Jobs.
But in your preview articles you very plainly stated that we could get Kustom Jobs without a Mek Boy Workshop. I find this appallingly deceptive since a driving cause of my purchases (and others I'm sure) is through these articles.
I understand that the book itself was less ambiguous, but you have left us in a very uncomfortable position where Orks are the only army forced to buy a $48 to use a large portion of the rules. If you feel as though Kustom Jobs need an extra cost to balance the ability then may I suggest 2CP for the first job if you do not have a Mek Boy Workshop?
Forcing us to buy this model and to place it in our deployment zone with extremely unfavorable terrain rules creates a massive hindrance to our enjoyment on many levels.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

So with this fixed, the FAQ is a straight buff for Orks, right, just from the Kustom battlewagon weapons officially counting towards the double shot ability?

Big mek with KFF got nerfed.
Ghaz certainly got better and Da Boomer was clarified, but everyone double tapped with it anyway.
Yeah, while KFF working in combat was a mistake and I can totally accept fixing it, the +20 points price hike (+37% than 8th price) is no joke.
Now the KFF doesn't work in combat, doesn't provide invuln for units from different clans and it's 15ppm more expensive. That's why he got nerfed, but even with the changes, at 75 points, getting an additional wound at 80, is still a competitive choice.

KFF mek shouldn't apply to CC.
Like 30 years of precedent. It blocks bullets.
We have confirmed that they didn't intend to give us a 20 point discount as well 80 point KFF is coming.
At least it's no longer a clanist field.
The FAQ rules still don't require the wargear item and the datasheet still has no way to acquire said wargear. The costs including wargear remain the same as the costs excluding wargear.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong: Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other. A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot. Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests. Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why. Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor. Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers. Orks do not have the power of believe.

75 pts is also 8e points...80 would be 9e points.
Saga FAQ is a 9th edition document and the most recent source.
