Hello,

I was about to have a game when my opponent claimed by Chaplain Dread cannot be armed with an Assault Cannon and a dread close combat weapon.

I checked BattleScribe and it seems he is correct - I can only have melee arms in the app. I will play him as such for now unless I can find proof he can take an assault cannon.

However the screenshot I have of the unit entry is from 2018 when I built him. Does anyone know if he was updated to be melee only?

Alright I still need the location of the official rules if anyone has that

One of the melee arms can be swapped for a gun; I've checked the FW Index, Battlescribe, and all relevant FAQs and it's definitely still an option.

Which, frankly, you should have a copy of before using the model. Battlescribe is an unreliable source - and what were you trying to use as a source before that?

Also now it doesn't have points for 9th for added fun.

Doesn't matter if you're not playing 9th.

The rules for the Chaplain Venerable Dreadnought are in the new official app. There also are points for the weapons and the unit itself.

This App sounds more and more like a joke and GW already said that non model = legends and Chaplain dreadnaughts are No model so Legends, thankfully one piece of broken cheese removed.
