Morning all,

Not sure if this is just on the UK store, but the Easy to Build Space Marine kits that were from Dark Imperium are showing as Last Chance to Buy on the GW website.

For reference, that is:
- 3 man Intercessors
- 3 man Reivers
- Flamestorm Aggressors
- Redemptor Dreadnought

In addition, two of the Death Guard kits are on LCtB as well:
- 3 man Plague Marines
- Lord Felthius and Tainted Cohort

Poxwalkers still seem to be available at this time, possibly because they're the only kit for that unit.

2021-4 Plog - Here we go again... - my fifth attempt at a Dakka PLOG

My Pile of Potential - updates ongoing...

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

Last chance to buy for all countries I checked as well.

Odd choice. That way there are 0 Lords of Contagion available now.
I guess I'll better keep my two other Felthius models instead of converting them into deathshrouds.

Luckily I have piles of either DG set lying around thanks to the conquest magazine.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

There is now no way to buy a plastic lord of contagion, blightbringer (bell guy incase I got that wrong) or plaguecaster. Plus a fine cast daemon prince.

I imagine a release wave cant be too far off given recent previews.

I imagine that either DG are getting some new models within this year or the Dark Imperium characters are getting a blister release.

What do you think that death guard mini that was previewed is?

Didn't they confirm that the Dark Imperium armies were being made into start collectings?

Sad to see Felthius go as it was a good kit (even if it does mean another Lord of Contagion showing up). I wonder if they'd have kept him if he hadn't been in conquest?

I really hope the blightbringer and plaguecaster also show up (bad memories of Ork Deffkopta shortages here)

I think they've previewed a daemon prince personally, the leathery wings, the flamer and we've seen what looks like a powerfist but could be a malefic talon.

Maybe they are going to reboot those minis with the new logo and different data sheet? </hope>

Maybe!

I'm leaning a bit more towards them packaging Plague Marine Reinforcements and/or the ETB ones with the potential Start Collecting version of Dark Imperium's Death Guard half. There's some weirdness for duplicating sprues otherwise.

those darn Reinforcements.. there is NO reason for 3 push-fit models to be $40 for gods sake.. not when the other kit was $15

Amen. I was absolutely going to buy them until I saw that price. Utter nonsense.

The only DG models I don’t have, by no coincidence.

Side note I do have a boxed Felthius, as I built my Conquest ones instead.
May keep that a while and see if anyone needs it at some point.
Was just gonna convert him up, but I already did that with the first.

I had considered an ETB redemptor since they were cheap and I'm good enough to repose the legs, but the secondary market is wild right now. Either still recovering from GW's shutdown or they heard about this news too, since the only ETB kit I could find was priced as high as the regular multi-pose one.

I'll wait, if it ends up in a start collecting or something they'll probably be a bunch on the market again.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

The EZ2B Redemptor? That's annoying. Why get rid of that?

No idea - but I really should finish basing the one I got from Conquest. Maybe even paint it, too.

because people are buying it instead of the 70 dollar kit?

I know my last redemptor purchase was the ETB one.

They probably want enough ETB kits to set the hook, and get people addicted to the plastic crack, but not so many they don’t buy the full kits.

I suspect that we will get a new bunch soon, so these are being retired. Both to keep the number of cheep kits down, and to lower the bloat of SKUs they need to keep in stock.

They used to be a limited edition set, that was made available for everyone due to popular demand. It has always been a collectors only item.

This is probably the main reason - all the sets are cannibalizing sales of their respective big boxes.

I have seen entire armies made up of the 3 intercessor teams, and if anyone has reeivers, it's the ETB ones. Tons of those floating around due to conquest, too.
ETB agressors just need a quick look into any well-equipped bits box to turn into boltstorm agressors, for the dread most people prefer the gatling variant anyways and the missiles can be easily kit-bashed as well.

Felthius Cohort provides you with two cheap bolter blight lords and you can easily chop the useless plague spitter into a blight launcher, Felthius himself can be converted into a death shroud with a little work.
ETB Plague Marines are basically all the special weapons you'll every need if you don't care for duplicate poses, as they have a plasma champion and a blight launcher marine. Add DI marines and you never need to buy the 7 PM box.
