Mine showed up yesterday as well. I didn't realize this was a plastic model. I thought I was going to be getting a metal one. Was this model always in plastic or did they redo the mold?

It was always plastic.

Also, had it not been plastic, it would have been resin rather than metal. But GW only very rarely makes new resin special issue models anymore.

It look less than 10 minutes to sell the second one on ebay, so yeah, I got free shipping after all Thanks to the Dakkaroo who mentioned that would be a good option back in April, it was.

I can't imagine GWS is going to release a new model in metal ever again. Clampack minis are always gonna be plastic, and unusual stuff is going to be resin/finecast.

This was my first time doing a made to order model. and I just always thought there were no plastic sister models. So my assumptions got the better of me there.

To add a little elaboration, made to order would generally present out of print models in the last material they were cast in (because that's what they have molds for). Metal Guardsmen, for example, would still be available in metal whereas old Fantasy characters originally transferred to Finecast would be cast in resin for a made to order run.

The event exclusives that some of us are waiting for now are a special use of made to order because they were event exclusives that GW cannot now provide to people via events because of the pandemic. As an alternative way to make them available, GW chose made to order. Since these particular models and generally these days any event models are made of plastic, the Librarian and Sister are naturally plastic, too. As a bonus, since these haven't been available and discontinued they also don't follow that part of how the made to order format was introduced to us.

Which is not a bad thing seeing GW open up to that option. It gets people that liked Indomitus but couldn't get their hands on the limited boy their very own copy after all. It's especially nice to see that it's a step back from the purely limited FOMO marketing and production GW is employing all too often these days. But that's just an aside.

Mine showed up today. The sister is a normal sprue, but the librarian is not. He is a plugfit model, but the sprue is the same style as the Space Marine heroes range. Feels like he was a part of wave 2 that got repurposed. Still a fun model, but would explain the sprue style and why it is a classic terminator.

Got mine a couple of days ago and put them together. Not sure how much use I'll get out of either one. I'm torn on whether to paint the Sister as a display piece (to match the artwork the sculpt is based on) or as a gaming piece (to match my existing Sisters army with a purple and yellow scheme). The Terminator will become a Dark Angel of course.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

My LFGS posted that they were given a few copies of each, in addition to their regular GW order. So, if you missed your opportunity to order these, check with a store near you.

For those who remember, a number of months back GW put up a pair of what would have been celebratory miniatures (a new plastic Termy Libby and Sister Tariana Palos of the Adepta Sororitas) up for pre-order, with the proviso being that it would be quite a while before they shipped (September was what I was led to believe).

Well I just got notification that the one I ordered (the SoB) has shipped! So that's nice.

Anyone else get notification of theirs?

My FLGS got theirs on Tuesday, with no notification of shipment. They look cool, I'm considering buying both.

Got mine today and I got my notice that Amullius has shipped and is estimated to arrive tomorrow. If he does, I'll definitely have him in hand by Monday.

From what I can tell the production and shipping on these is really random. I think they are slipping in casting waves here and there rather than one big production wave. Which would explain why some people get some of them and others nothing.
Based on the posters here, it seems at least North America and Australia have seen (some of?) theirs on the move or all the way to the doormat. Haven't heard anything here yet. (Which is fine, in no hurry whatsoever - but it's interesting how spread out these are.)

Fingers crossed here, though I ordered through a store so might have a longer wait.

Then I just have to some how avoid turning 1 Sister into an army.

Which reminds me - better make sure I note when my local's anniversary is - can't miss out on Ripley-Guardswoman!

Warhammer Edinburgh is soon relocating from Royal Mile to Castle Street. That should, hopefully, be the first Looting opportunity. Whilst I can’t get back to the city of my birth, my brother is proving useful for once in his life and will be Looting on my behalf!

Shameless plug as ever, why not join the Loot Group, and kick a scalper in the nads by proxy!

Indeed he was. Adepticon was to be the last event where he was available.

Amulius was a 2020 event exclusive - all events GW ran or attended.

On a Marine group on social media someone said that the Libby is push fit, is that true?

My Sister of Battle is now shipping from a retailer in the UK so it sounds like UK stock is fully out of the door.

Yes. Varus and Amulius are push-fit, Sister Palos needs glue.

Ordered Amulius and the Sister when it was Made to order, both not arrived and no notification for either, so guess I wasn't in that production wave.

Same (aside from the fact I'm only expecting the Sister); no word yet, so they're clearly not doing them all at the same time.

Nah, definitely not. I've seen painted Amulius' pop up for months now. It seems they had some stock left and sent those out almost immediatly after the made-to-order timeframe.

Well, based on a few posters here, there appeared to be some sort of pattern before (multiple people in North America and Australia getting theirs around the same time for example), but after sending the ones they already had made, it doesn't appear they've gone for a big production run, but instead multiple smaller ones.

Ah well. Wait and see.
